About this Retreat
Amina Amina Tezkatlahuiz is a medicine woman and Mexican native with more than 13 years of experience in both service and study on the medicine path. She is a dedicated moondancer, temazcalera, and a practitioner of El Camino Rojo, a respected lineage of Toltec healing and wisdom ways.
Our guests always appreciate the palpable sense of joy and accessibility she brings to the work. She's always willing to make extra time to support our guests, and has a wealth of knowledge to share on a broad range of subjects.
In addition to her experience in Amazonian healing, she is trained in Structural Energy Awakening, Chi Nei Tsieng (Taoist abdominal massage), and holds a Masters of Psychotherapy from the University of Salamanca, Spain.
With her diverse skill set and wealth of experience, Amina works at the intersection of both shamanic and western healing ways.

The Invitation
This work takes courage. For those who receive the calling, our plant medicine retreats offer an opportunity to reconnect to your true nature with a guidance of a caring, wise, and experienced team.
This work is not only about personal healing, but creating healthy relationships with ourselves, our families, community, and nature. For us, this work as much about personal growth as it is about creating a beautiful future. In other words, a retreat with Sacred Counsel isn't just an experience - it's a path.
Our ayahuasca retreats are 5 days long with 2 ayahuasca ceremonies, with an option for additional 2 night stay for integration.
We offer a range of enriching activities throughout the week, including daily breathwork, massage & bodywork, yoga & meditation, traditional sweat lodge ceremonies, breathwork, sharing circles, 1 on 1 therapy and integration tools.
Our retreat is held at a breathtaking spiritual retreat center nestled in central highlands of Mexico that was purpose built to support and sustain sacred medicine work. Our comfortable, eco-friendly accommodations allow to immerse yourself in nature while enjoying the comforts of a 4-star resort.
In your off time, you can stroll through our beautiful gardens, swim in the natural pools, and admire the extensive collection of original artwork and sculptures from world renowned visionary artists.
