About this Retreat
Dr. Kiran B Raj brings a rare depth of clinical maturity to his role at Yara Wellness Resort, shaped through intensive hands-on practice within a short span of years. His work reflects a refined understanding of classical Ayurveda, applied with precision, discretion, and deep respect for the individual.
His clinical journey includes extensive experience across diverse therapeutic departments at Apollo AyurVAID, where he engaged with a wide range of complex and chronic cases. This concentrated exposure allowed him to develop a breadth of insight and therapeutic confidence that is uncommon at this stage of practice, leading to early positions of responsibility and trust.
At Yara, Dr. Kiran designs and guides bespoke retreat programs rooted in Prakriti-based assessment and classical Panchakarma, supporting guests through deep detoxification and metabolic reset, nervous system regulation and stress recovery, digestive restoration, and preventive rejuvenation.
His additional training in mental health and counseling psychology allows him to support retreat journeys that address not only physical imbalance, but also emotional fatigue, mental overload, and lifestyle-related burnout—integrating stillness, awareness, and clarity into the healing process.
Dr. Kiran creates a space where guests feel seen, supported, and gently guided. Each retreat journey under his care is
shaped with intention—allowing healing to unfold naturally, without force. For Dr. Kiran, retreat medicine is not about intervention, but about creating the right conditions for balance to return.
Yara’s Founder
Born and raised in India, I was deeply influenced by my mother’s spiritual grounding and early introduction to yoga, Ayurveda, meditation, and traditional spiritual studies. What began as a childhood foundation naturally evolved into a personal exploration that deepened over time.
As I navigated periods of depression and autoimmune challenges, I turned to this wisdom with greater commitment. Through the disciplined application of yogic practices, Ayurvedic science, and meditation, I experienced firsthand the body’s innate intelligence and its ability to restore balance when guided correctly.
Living in Hong Kong and New York, I shared these teachings across cultures and witnessed their transformative impact. That experience led me to refine my studies further — honoring traditional knowledge while integrating emerging research and modern understanding.
YARA is the culmination of that journey — a family-led labour of love created to preserve this legacy with integrity, elevate it with discernment, and offer it in a way that is both deeply authentic and powerfully relevant to the world today.
Details of this retreat
YARA is an intimate wellness sanctuary where nature, comfort, and thoughtful care come together. Here, your body (Sharīra), mind (Mana), and inner self (Ātma) are supported through simple, personalised, and deeply nourishing practices. Guided by Ayurveda and evidence-based wellness, every experience is designed to help you feel lighter, clearer, and more connected without complication or overwhelm. Whether you come to rest, recover, or reset, YARA offers a calm space to slow down, breathe deeply, and genuinely heal.
Panchakarma is Ayurveda’s most comprehensive and time-honoured detox and healing therapy. Rooted in ancient Ayurvedic medicine, it is designed to gently clear accumulated toxins (ama), restore digestive balance (agni), and rebalance the doshas—Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. It works gradually and deeply, supporting the body’s natural ability to cleanse, reset, and rejuvenate.
At YARA Wellness in Bali, Panchakarma is practiced in its authentic form under the guidance of a qualified BAMS Ayurvedic doctor, within a peaceful retreat environment that allows true rest and integration.
