About this Retreat
Director and founder of Dancing Shiva School, Ph.D candidate (Integral Ayurveda), and Practitioner of Ayurveda, Mas has become an influential global teacher, speaker, and author of Ayurveda, Yoga culture, and Vedantic philosophy. His diverse background includes therapeutics, athletics, dietetics, ecology, herbs, and Superfoods, which he integrates into a dynamic synthesis that has led him to become an innovative voice in integral Ayurveda, Yoga, and integrative medicine. As an Ayurvedic practitioner, he began his career in 2001 as the medical director of Dancing Shiva's integrative medical clinic that included PanchaKarma, acupuncture, chiropractic, and many other modalities based in Los Angeles, California (for 12 years) before embarking on an extensive travel schedule giving lectures and consultations throughout Mexico, India, Hong Kong, Singapore, Beijing, Portugal and all major cities in the USA. As a general Ayurveda practitioner, he has seen all types of cases ranging from acute intestinal disorders, obesity, diabetes (type-2), respiratory disorders, skin problems, anxiety and nervousness, cancer, hormonal imbalances, sleep issues, enhancing athletic performance, and immunity disorders. He has effectively applied Ayurveda's system of astrology (Jyotisha) for the prevention of genetic-related diseases and chronic disease factors.
Dennis M. Harness, Ph.D. is a professional Vedic Astrologer and lecturer who received his doctorate degree in Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco, California.
For more than thirty years, Dennis has studied both Eastern and Western astrological techniques, such as natal chart analysis, synastry (relationship compatability), prashna, and Astro*Carto*Graphy (locational astrology) with some of the world's most respected astrologers.
Dennis was a founding member of the American Council of Vedic Astrology and served as president of the American College of Vedic Astrology, located in Sedona, Arizona, from 1999-2009. His book, The Nakshatras: The Lunar Mansions of Vedic Astrology, is published by Lotus Press and continues to be one of the few works dedicated to uncovering the mysteries of these important, and often overlooked, asterisms of Vedic Astrology. Details of this retreat
Two pioneers from the Vedic traditions come together for this special program that combines, Ayurveda healing therapies and diet, Hatha-Yoga and meditation practices and Jyotish (Vedic astrology. Both Dennis and Mas will be doing daily wisdom classes combined with a consultation from Mas and a birth chart review from Dennis to customize your retreat healing experience that includes ayurvedic cusine from the incredible Marsalo. Each participant will receive specialized treatments, counseling from Mas, yoga, dietetics and time to enjoy the natures bounty, treks, surfing, canoeing and more. This is all being offered at a secluded village called Playa Troncones, far from tourism where you can reflect, heal and connect with an international community of students, practitioners, teachers and nature enthusiast. Mas will be giving pinpointed counsel based on his review of the birthchart from the medical astrological perspective.
Mas & Dennis have headlined many of the largest conferences and festival worldwide and invite everyone to attend this special wellness-all inclusive retreat. Space is limited to 12-15 people.
The location is equiste and takes place at Casa Manzanillo, a boutique resort situated along the prestine south western Mexican coast.
