Absolutely Incredible! Safe and Forever Life Changing
Absolutely breathtaking! My experience at the ayahuasca retreat was truly transformative, and witnessing the profound changes in those who were experiencing ayahuasca for the first time brought me to tears. This retreat beautifully changed the lives of all 16 participants in such a meaningful way. From the moment I arrived, I was filled with a sense of peace and connection unlike anything I had ever felt before. The staff radiated love, compassion, and kindness, and the serene natural surroundings provided the perfect setting for this incredible journey. Where else can you enjoy a sweat lodge, cacao ceremony, swimming pool, horseback riding, massages, yoga, and sacred medicine all in one week?

The facilitators were incredibly knowledgeable and truly dedicated to creating a safe, nurturing space for everyone. If safety is a concern for you, rest assured—there’s absolutely no need to worry. They guided us with care, ensuring we felt supported every step of the way. Their deep understanding of the medicine and its effects made a significant difference in the overall experience. Humberto, the shaman, shared beautiful, transformative words, and with the help of talented musicians, he created a powerful ceremonial atmosphere. He is, without a doubt, the best shaman I have encountered in my eight ceremonies to date—full of love, kindness, respect, and joy.

The ceremonies were deeply moving and introspective. I embarked on an incredible journey of self-discovery, confronting old wounds and releasing burdens I didn't even realize I was carrying. My heart opened like never before, and the insights gained during these ceremonies were profound, leaving me with newfound clarity and purpose.

The accommodations were beautiful and comfortable, and the organic meals prepared three times daily were delicious. The overall atmosphere was warm, inviting, and overflowing with love. I forged lasting connections with my fellow participants, creating a wonderful community that enriched the experience. I arrived as a stranger among 16 attendees and left with 16 lifelong friends.

If you’re contemplating an ayahuasca retreat, I can’t recommend this one highly enough. It’s a safe, nurturing, and deeply healing environment where you can explore your inner self and emerge transformed. This retreat exceeded all of my expectations, and I can’t wait to return for another journey! This is my official “home for medicine.”

I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Krista, Humberto, Pedro, Ruger, Liberty, and the entire staff. Your love, hugs, kindness, and the beautiful memories created will never be forgotten.

Magical and healing
I’ve have the absolute honor of attending 3 retreats with Mexisoul so far and it’s now become an integral piece of my healing journey each year. It’s like a reset for my human and reconnecting me to my souls purpose. From the beautiful serene Finca setting, to the amazing supportive staff, to the plant medicine ceremonies, along with the healthy-delicious food, but most importantly - the community this place brings together… each retreat here is unlike any other. I’ve attended both their ayahuasca and psilocybin retreats, both of which are amazing journeys and not the same whatsoever. Each are transformative and spiritually healing in their own way and I would highly recommended them both equally. This was not a place I sought out, but it found me and my life is forever changed because of them. If you’re wondering whether to go or not to go, take this as your sign - go. Heal, reset, laugh, love, connect and remember who you are.

Beautiful Takes on New Meaning
When I came home, I found my myself using the word "beautiful" in almost every sentence to describe my MexiSoul experience. From the environment, including watching the sunrise from my bed, and the ceremonies that were sacred and life altering, to the people – the magnetic connection to those in service as well as individuals on their own journeys – it was beautiful. Wherever I walked I saw something to fill me with gratitude. And I pushed passed my fears in the ring of fire ceremony as well as the steep hike to a breathtaking view. Everything was thoughtfully curated and safely executed, from the meals to the plant medicine and the optional activities. (Loved ecstatic dancing.) And to top it all off, I shared the MexiSoul experience with my 41-year-old son. Now I am in the present with my heart full of love and gratitude. Wherever you are in life, this could very well be your time to be a fellow MexiSoul-er!

Life Changing Spiritual Awakening and Healing Journey
I came to MexiSoul wanting to be fixed. I wanted to be changed, to become a whole new person. I was divorced after a 25-year relationship and couldn't trust my intuition because of past traumas. I was in a new relationship and was struggling with self-worth, insecurity, guilt, and grief. I wanted to move on with my life but was too overwhelmed. I was afraid of having a psychedelic experience but was desperate for help because therapy, medication, and support weren't enough. My cousin found MexiSoul. I saw his perspective and life change after he returned, so I decided to try it myself.

I was intimidated by the whole process, afraid of the medicine, and felt guilty, like I was putting people out. But by the end of the retreat, I understood the spiritual motivations that brought each soul to that space. I felt nourished by the nutritious, delicious food, the personal touches in the rooms, and all the thoughtful features of the finca. I shared healing with every person there, from massages to conversations with other guests to profound moments with the shamans. I left with a deep sense of connection and gratitude.

Two important epiphanies that have stayed with me and have impacted my life since are a recognition of the special light that each of us is and the interconnection of everything in the universe, which I now think of as God.

I had been struggling with self-criticism and low self-esteem, which translated into unhealthy comparisons and, basically, jealousy. I saw beautiful, seemingly perfect people and judged myself harshly against everyone. During my first Satori experience, I saw how each of us is unique, beautiful, and perfect in our own way. We should not, and we will never be the same or comparable. We are each extraordinary and beautiful because of what makes us unique. That epiphany helped me better understand, respect, and love everyone around me and, in turn, have more compassion and love for myself. Even on my bad days, I still feel the power of that truth, and it has brought immeasurable peace and comfort to my ever-changing and challenging life back home.

On my final day of medicine, after coming out of Bufo, I saw God. I don't know how else to describe it. It was like a rebirth, like a connection to every atom and every distant galaxy at all times - past, present, and future. My sense of self, my vision, hearing, feeling, etc., was interconnected, omnipresent, and somewhat omniscient, like I was in another dimension that spanned beyond temporal or spacial boundaries. It was indescribable, but I remember it in a way that profoundly changed my perspective. I better understand how and why people created religion and have sought to understand what's beyond our human experience and senses. I have a renewed respect for the wisdom in spirituality and religion and infinitely more grace for conflict. I have a lasting sense of peace about the yin and yang of life - the dichotomies of pain and joy, of life and death, of the circular and cyclic nature of life, of love and attraction - down to attraction of molecules that make up matter - as the driving force and purpose of existence.

As a skeptical former atheist, my mind has been opened to questions and possibilities of what exists outside our limited perspective. I have more grace, compassion, love, and kindness for myself, those I love, and every being with which we coexist. I'm off antidepressants for the first time in years. I drink only moderately and socially now. I've found serenity despite the challenges of working single mom life. I joke about doing my midlife crisis with aplomb. But fundamentally, I have found peace and open-mindedness, which I'm eager to share with anyone who wants it. I am forever thankful to everyone who is the soul of MexiSoul. Thank you for showing me - for reminding me - who I am. For creating such an incredibly supportive sacred space for self-exploration and actualization. And for making our precious world a better place one retreat at a time. I will forever be part of the MexiSoul family and look forward to returning to that spiritual home when I am again called to do so.
