Details of this retreat

We are all leaders. In common discourse, leading means empowering people. As such, we are all the leaders of our own life. So the question is not whether you are a leader or not, but rather how well you are leading. Therefore we invite you to explore what self-leadership is for you and from there, once we understand ourselves we know how to better navigate the external world.

Designed for everybody, experienced or beginners, the journey is one of a kind psilocybin retreat aimed to help you become a new kind of leader. Created with input from psychedelic research, it brings together cutting-edge concepts on leadership change while holding a deeply rooted ceremony & ritual informed by ancestral ways, with the use of psilocybin in a legal setting.

We all have the potential to be leaders in our own lives. Some of us are also in positions of leadership with others, in organizations or in our communities. But what does it mean to really connect to your leadership potential? Traditional leaders tell people to ‘follow me’. We believe a new kind of leader says ‘I’ll go first’ and inspires others as they step into the unknown. In a complex and unpredictable world, all of us are being asked to adapt fast. We are being called not just to lead in new ways, but to become new kinds of leaders. We believe that means widening our perspective beyond ourselves. Understanding our own leadership not just in relation to our lives, communities and organizations, but as something with the potential to change the systems we’re all part of.

This retreat, created by Natasja Pelgrom and Alexander Beiner, will guide you through a process to explore what it means to you to become that new kind of leader. It involves a world-first process including preparation, a five-day legal psilocybin retreat in the Netherlands, and integration. We will integrate a number of models into a deeply-held ceremonial and ritualistic space, including the concept of ‘regenerative leadership’ and personal growth techniques designed to help you find direction for yourself, your organization or family.

There is strong evidence to suggest that psychedelics can lead to the kinds of changes that change how we lead. The latest research suggests that they create a ‘window of plasticity’ in the brain (Carhart-Harris, 2019), where we make new connections, let go of old behaviour patterns, and come up with new ideas. They can increase our ability to think flexibly (Murphy-Beiner, 2018) and our sense of connection to nature (Gandy, 2020) and increase our creativity (Wießner, 2022). This retreat is not only an opportunity just to widen your perception and explore the deepest parts of your self; it’s also a chance to be at the cutting edge of the latest psychedelic research.
