Arturo Lopez, our Medicine Man, has dedicated the past 15 years of his life to plant medicine, with seven of those years spent at Xochipilli Retreat Center. Known for his integrity and deep commitment to this work, Arturo brings warmth and peace to each ceremony he leads.
Arturo’s journey began in Pisac, the Sacred Valley of Peru, where he met his mentor, Diego Palma, and later became the apprentice of Jean Piel. Under Piel’s guidance, Arturo supported countless ceremonies, immersing himself in the world of medicine and music. Inspired by this path, he continued developing his own approach, rooted in respect for tradition and the healing power of Ayahuasca.
In his work, Arturo recognizes that we live in a time of transformation, where social facades are falling away, and many are grappling with internal discontent. He understands that Ayahuasca calls to those ready to explore beyond the surface, to confront patterns in habits, relationships, and life itself. Arturo’s nurturing presence fosters a deep sense of trust, allowing participants to open to the profound love and healing Ayahuasca offers.
A true family man at heart, Arturo cherishes the connections he builds with his tribe—the staff and participants who have crossed paths with him. This journey is an invitation to go beyond, and Arturo’s deep connection with the medicine allows him to tailor each ceremony uniquely to every individual.
Gifted musically, Arturo weaves sound and voice to support integration, creating an atmosphere where peace can settle within. His calming presence is a lasting gift for many, inspiring participants to carry that tranquility back into their lives. With Arturo, the journey with Ayahuasca becomes one of true connection, offering participants the opportunity to experience the profound peace and healing energy of the spirit of Mother Ayahuasca.
