Join us for a community kiva fire at Topa Institute’s stunning land sanctuary. Our fire kivas are beautiful earthen structures inspired by Puebloan construction traditions and built by our Artist-in-Residence Skip Schuckmann. Many generations have sat around kiva fires on the ridge sharing rites of passage, different cultural practices, stories, deep listening, and more. Now we are opening the doors to the public to enjoy these magical ceremonial fire spaces every month!

Led by Topa’s onsite caretaker team Jen Boyak and Patrick Soule, we invite you to sit around the fire to meditate, share an intention, a song, a poem, or just watch the flames ascend into the evening skies over the Topatopa mountains. Bring an instrument, your friends and family, something special to share, or simply bring yourself.

This is a substance-free gathering and people of all ages are welcome.
