"I’m dedicated to supporting folks who are working to build honest, authentic, intimate relationships and communities, and I’m particularly enthusiastic about working with and supporting folks in the Queer community, with couples (especially those that are operating in an “alternative” fashion) and others in open relationships, as well as intentional communities and those within communal living arrangements."
Details of this retreat
Join us for a 7-day relationship retreat in idyllic Cascada Elysiana in Costa Rica, where you will be surrounded by the sounds of nature. Our eco retreat center has its own private waterfall and many others close by.
Each day starts with a delicious, healthy vegetarian breakfast and optional group yoga, followed by eye-opening workshops and personal coaching that will leave you with a whole new level of connection, authenticity, and intimacy.
Singles are welcome in this retreat which focuses on romantic relationships, getting clear on what we want, and how to stop sabotaging ourselves in cultivating the romantic relationships we want.
Price ranges from $1,700 to $2,900 depending on accommodations. All options include 3 meals/day and workshop sessions.
Led by Tony Shawcross and Lindsay StAntoine, this workshop has 7 days of exercises aimed at improving your ability to:
Recognize patterns of self-sabotage and disconnect that leave you in emotional or physical isolation.
Foster interdependence (as distinct from co-dependence and independence)
Appreciate and accept yourself and others for who you are, rather than who you think you / they SHOULD be
Heal the past and get over current hurts and struggles so you stop bringing them forward into future relationships.
Foster a growth mindset for yourself and within your romantic relationship(s)
Learn the delicate dance of contact and withdrawal by simply and clearly stating what is going on with you right now
This retreat is aimed at helping romantic partners redesign their relationships to focus on supporting each other in being their best selves, as defined by you.
If you are single, our goal is to give you the space to get clear on what you want in a relationship and heal any past wounds that may be holding you back.
Our aim is to help you re-contextualize your relationships around supporting one another in being who/how you want to be in a way that acknowledges and embraces the aspects of yourself that are not in alignment with that vision.
Day 1: March 10, 6 - 8:30pm
Participants will arrive over the weekend or on Monday and be prepared to begin the workshop at 6pm.
Dinner will be provided.
Day 2 - 6: March 11 - 15, 10am - 7pm
All day workshop centered around group and partner exercises.
3 meals/day provided, and breaks throughout the day.
Optional daily yoga at 7:30am.
Day 7: March 16, 10am - 12pm
Final day; only breakfast and lunch will be provided (unless you have arranged to stay longer).
Participants will close out the workshop and depart the eco resort.
This workshop may be an emotionally intense experience. We will spend a lot of our time focusing on remaining present in our bodies and present to our individual experiences; we will also spend time expressing and processing emotions, including sadness, resentment, and appreciation.
The eco resort, Cascada Elysiana, is seated in the valley of San Juan de Dios in Costa Rica, near Dominical. The closest airport is San Jose, 3 hours away. We recommend taking a taxi from the airport to the eco resort.
We can provide you contact information of a trusted taxi company, or you can find your own transportation. Renting a car is not recommended as parking is limited. For potential group excursions, we will provide transportation offsite.
