Details of this retreat

Creativity isn’t something we have or don’t have. It’s something we’re in relationship with.

Relationships require attention. They change. We neglect them. We return to them. Sometimes we trust them; sometimes we don’t. Sometimes we try to control them. And sometimes we have to listen without knowing what comes next.

Imagine your creativity as a relationship in your life. How would you describe that relationship right now? Much of daily life pulls us toward constant output, gradually dulling our capacity to notice, engage with, or utilize the creative instincts within us. Lent invites a pause.

In this one-hour virtual gathering, we’ll slow down, write from a few simple prompts, and explore what’s happening in our own creative lives. There will be time to share what you’re discovering with the group—or you can simply listen.

Think of this as an easy encounter with your creative life—and whatever might be calling to you.

No artistic background is needed. All creative orientations, belief systems, and spiritual paths are welcome.

The experience was amazing
Very informative and relaxing and a beautiful space. Our leader was so kind and knowledgeable. The food was also really good and I met some wonderful women. It would be wonderful to have this session every season of the year. Maybe not winter..
I look forward to attending other retreats and workshops at Genesis. Many thanks for all you do.

Filled with healing vibes
I love being at Genesis. This was my second time visiting. On my previous visit, I participated in a nature immersion retreat that lasted several days. I bonded with the land, the trees, and the labyrinth. When I saw that there was an opportunity to attend a day retreat, I was eager to sign up. It isn't always possible for me to devote the time to a multi-day overnight retreat, but I love spending time with other like-minded people on the land and in the indoor spaces. Everything feels so friendly and peaceful, and the food is delicious. I enjoyed reconnecting with the labyrinth and having a collective moment of contemplation. I will surely continue to return to Genesis when I can. I always come away feeling renewed, inspired, and knowing that I am on my healing journey.

BioSpiritual Focusing Retreat 8/26
I received so many gifts of new knowledge and experiences from all 4 instructors and many participants. As always I enjoyed all of the outdoor spaces, especially the labyrinth. I truly appreciate the space that was freely available in the chapel, carriage house and friendship hall for myself and others to offer optional groups.
