Profound experience in beautiful setting with amazing staff.
I came back from Soltara at Goddess Falls yesterday. I'm physically back but I am mentally still there-still reliving my visions and missing tremendously the Costa Rican jungle and everyone would took such good care of us.
It was my first time taking part of Ayahuasca ceremonies. It was my first time being part of a community group based retreat- and a retreat itself. It was my first time signing up for an all included organized trip. After reading many positive reviews of Soltara, I knew I was up for a treat, but it exceeded my expectations.
Experiencing the ceremonies in the Maloca in the middle of the jungle contributed to the perfection of my experience. By the end of the third ceremony, I was making one with the Earth, the ground, the sounds of the jungle; the dampness became warm and cozy. The voices of the maestras singing the Icaros blended with the sounds of the wilderness around us. Isabelle and Robert were highly professional and beautiful; the way they carried the retreat and orchestrated the ceremonies seemed effortless even if I know it was a lot of preparation and it takes them a lot of energy to stay present with all of us. The maestras, Karina and Sylvia, were exceptional. Gemma and Balia were wonderful. Domingo was so nice and patient - keeping us safe during the ceremonies. The chef and all the other staff were wonderful.
The swim at Goddess Falls was such a treat and a refreshing break from all the exhaustion we went through as a group. My group was interesting as all of us were doing Ayahuasca ceremonies for the first time-except one person who stayed from the previous week.
I highly recommend Soltara-especially at Goddess Fall. It is not only an oustanding setting, but also an honor to discover the Shapibo culture surrounded by beautiful souls: Karina, Sylvia, Isabelle, Robert, Gemma, Balia, and everyone else.
