Our Commitment to You

We are called to serve medicine in sacred ceremony with integrity, humility, and compassion. By creating a safe space and working only with experienced, well-intentioned healers and facilitators, we uphold the lessons of the medicines and build a foundation of mutual trust, authenticity, and respect. We are not gurus, preachers, or enlightened beings – our healers are Maestros who humbly transmit the knowledge and healing energies of the plants, and our facilitators are devoted to helping guests face, process, and explore difficult experiences and emotions, handle projections, manage expectations, and surrender to the process. We strive to uphold the highest integrity in everything we do and be a beacon for responsible, safe, and ethical practices, such that our guests feel safe and supported to get the most out of their healing.

Menu Types

We believe healing even takes place in the kitchen. We take on the mantra by the Greek physician, Hippocrates: “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.” We honor the role of food in our lives and expand it beyond its primary purpose of bodily nourishment – food can be an avenue to dig deeper into ourselves, consciously looking at our patterns and mindsets surrounding not just what we eat, but how and why we eat what we do. Our eating habits don’t just affect our mental health, they also reflect it. At Soltara, we aim to help you jumpstart this process of connection through conscious cooking on all levels. Diet is an important part of the healing process, both on its own and also to help prepare the mind and body for plant medicine work. We work closely with our shamans to prepare wholesome, delicious meals that adhere to the traditional dietary guidelines of working with ayahuasca. All of our meals are freshly prepared in-house by our loving kitchen staff. From fresh smoothies and juices every morning, to plant-based meals emphasizing local, organic, and sustainable produce, to lean proteins such a chicken and fish, we celebrate the rich local flavor of Costa Rican cuisine, and offer a chance to experience a connection to the land and culture while nourishing the body, mind, and spirit.

Profound experience in beautiful setting with amazing staff.
I came back from Soltara at Goddess Falls yesterday. I'm physically back but I am mentally still there-still reliving my visions and missing tremendously the Costa Rican jungle and everyone would took such good care of us.
It was my first time taking part of Ayahuasca ceremonies. It was my first time being part of a community group based retreat- and a retreat itself. It was my first time signing up for an all included organized trip. After reading many positive reviews of Soltara, I knew I was up for a treat, but it exceeded my expectations.
Experiencing the ceremonies in the Maloca in the middle of the jungle contributed to the perfection of my experience. By the end of the third ceremony, I was making one with the Earth, the ground, the sounds of the jungle; the dampness became warm and cozy. The voices of the maestras singing the Icaros blended with the sounds of the wilderness around us. Isabelle and Robert were highly professional and beautiful; the way they carried the retreat and orchestrated the ceremonies seemed effortless even if I know it was a lot of preparation and it takes them a lot of energy to stay present with all of us. The maestras, Karina and Sylvia, were exceptional. Gemma and Balia were wonderful. Domingo was so nice and patient - keeping us safe during the ceremonies. The chef and all the other staff were wonderful.
The swim at Goddess Falls was such a treat and a refreshing break from all the exhaustion we went through as a group. My group was interesting as all of us were doing Ayahuasca ceremonies for the first time-except one person who stayed from the previous week.
I highly recommend Soltara-especially at Goddess Fall. It is not only an oustanding setting, but also an honor to discover the Shapibo culture surrounded by beautiful souls: Karina, Sylvia, Isabelle, Robert, Gemma, Balia, and everyone else.

Goodess Falls retreat
I recently partook in the Seven Night Ayahuasca Retreat with Peruvian Shipibo Healers at Soltara Healing Center. It was a fantastic experience. The people were amazing and the food was spectacular. The retreat was in the middle of the storm season but that made the experience even nicer. I really enjoyed my time even if the medicine didn't help me as much as I thought it would. I probably need to do more retreats!

Life changing
The best and most challenging experience of my life. I feel like a new person but acutely aware that the work continues post retreat. The food, the facilitators, the staff and the open minded group I was lucky to be a part of made for a truly life changing week.
I’d recommend it to anyone, but with a forewarning that you need to be prepared.

Words can never do justice to what I experienced.
I really wanted to come to Soltara in Feb of 2026 instead of October 2025, but my intuition kept nudging me to go in October. I had no idea why, because logistically and personally, Feb made much more sense. But I decided to trust it — and thank god that I did.

The facilitators, the staff, the maestra and maestro, the people I met, the lessons I learned (and am still processing) — I'll carry them in my heart forever. I honestly feel like a completely different person. People hold space for you here in a way that I've never experienced in my life, outside of my closest friends and family.

All that to say, if you feel called to the medicine, trust your gut. You couldn't be in better hands. You'll figure everything else out in due time.
