What we will do and what will happen

The Just Pure Being - Nature Retreats are a Transformational Space where we enter a world most of us might not be familiar with. We will have long walks out in Nature at the most beautiful spots on our planet. Please see details in the program below! At the same time the invitation is to show interest and curiosity about the other participants' struggles and challenges without wanting to fix, heal and repair. No Smart-Assery or Assholery with supposedly knowledgeable or wise comments, advice or solutions in order to put ourselves in the foreground and to compensate for feelings of inadequacy and shame so we can feel important, valuable and useful ;-). We can find out and check our assumptions about ourselves, others and the world toward us. We can enter the "Hot Seat" or "Circle of Wisdom" with a life topic to tell the story self-responsibly with focus on our emotions and how we feel about it. The group will be curious and interested in inquiring in order to get the whole picture and explore the core of our being. And again without trying to fix, repair or heal. No solutions, advice or comments unless the person in focus wishes so. An unique opportunity to reconnect with our own Inner Wisdom because we don't get the message that there is something wrong with us and that we can't do it on our own.

What we believe ourselves to be is a mental construct. An illusion. A thought-based identity. I hides behind believes, emotions, projections, coping mechanisms and survival strategies because we are not aware of all that or because we keep all of it secret and hidden. Therefore we don't have the opportunity to find out that most of it is not true. When we have the courage to disclose what we have been hiding for all our lives a new door opens. Especially if it feels live-threatening and like as if we were being annihilated. Then the illusion loses its grip.

The Language of Connection explores what’s here and invites, welcomes and acknowledges everything that is hidden and unconscious and creates a fertile soil for Openness, Honesty and Vulnerability where everything is met with Curiosity, Humility and Compassion.

Transformation happens when we disclose and share what we usually want to keep secret and hide. When we feel seen, heard and held and our feelings and pain are acknowledged and validated a Shift happens. And we have the opportunity to find out that most of our beliefs and projections are not true which opens a new door.

Accommodation

We will stay on a camping site in the North - East of Madeira and sleep in tents. Tents can be rented on Madeira for 50 euros for the whole time.

Food

Food is not included in the event fee. So please make sure that you have your food prepared for breakfast and lunch every day. And maybe bring it along for the fist day to make sure that it won’t cause you any distress. Especially at lunchtime we will be out in nature where it might not be possible to get any food. We will stop at a supermarket every morning to buy the necessary provisions. For dinner we usually go to a restaurant but everybody is free to decide if that is convenient.

Rental Cars or bus in order to get around on the island

We will find the most suitable and economic way of getting around. Either we will rent several cars and distribute the participants if there are people willing to drive or we will rent one or several busses that fit in all participants. Rental cars are pretty affordable on Madeira and the cheapest offer I have found was 27 euros per day. The total cost of rental and fuel will be distributed among all participants. For this reason there will be a deposit of 250 euros while the difference will be refunded or payed additionally.

Preparation

We will meet one or more times personally or online (Zoom) to discuss the details and to exchange our experience. All questions can be asked.

Modification of the itinerary, schedule and plan

If we all agree we can do modifications to the planned places to visit, schedule and plans it seems too much, too stressful or maybe even too little for some of us. In spite of the above indicated program the daily activities will be decided spontaneously. Depending on weather conditions we might shift activities and do any of the other planned tours.
