About this Retreat
Shani Mayer (Creator and Movement Specialist).
Originally from Israel, Shani has over 20 years of professional dance experience, including 11 years as a Brazilian Zouk instructor.
She is a certified yoga instructor who holds a degree in psychology. Building on years of experience guiding the body through movement, she has developed a new approach: using the connection of breath and touch to explore deeper levels of the Self.
A believer in movement as a healing modality, Shani uses Brazilian Zouk and mindful movement to encourage further understanding of ourselves, and our connection with others, and to awaken our communication with our higher Self.
She fascilitates and serves as part of the Ayaruna Medicine Family in Mexico
Her Training in Biomagnetism and several dietas with shipido masters such as Celestina and Juanita allows her to create
and facilitates safe spaces where people can grow, heal and transform.
Matan Sahibi has been walking the path of sacred medicine for over eight years, working closely with the Huni Kuin people of the Amazon. His journey has been deeply rooted in the healing traditions of the forest, where he has learned to hold space with humility, presence, and song.
Matan facilitates men’s work and offers one-on-one mentorship to support men in finding their path and purpose—healing trauma, transforming ancestral patterns, and embodying the best version of themselves. His work empowers men to show up powerfully in their lives, relationships, and calling.
In recent years, Matan has reconnected deeply with his Yemenite Jewish roots. Through this reconnection, he is bringing forward the ancient shamanic wisdom of the Jewish tradition—reviving prayer, song, and ritual as tools for collective healing. His ceremonies, men’s circles, and individual sessions are devoted to mending the Jewish ancestral lineage and restoring its sacred connection to the Earth.
Matan weaves voice, rhythm, and ancestral chants into his spaces, invoking a profound remembrance and reconnection with the Jewish spirit and heart.
Details of this retreat
In the Heart the Tulum jungle, Kayam is a sacred 7-day immersion where Kabbalistic wisdom and shamanic tradition meet. This retreat bridges the mystical teachings of the Tree of Life with the ancient healing of Ayahuasca, guiding participants through a transformative inner ascent — from Malchut to Keter, from Earth to Crown.
Kayam is more than a retreat — it is a remembrance of the ancient union between Heaven and Earth. Through study, ceremony, and movement, participants will revive timeless shamanic practices and embody them through the language and structure of Kabbalah, awakening the light within the vessel.
Each day explores a different Sephirah of the Tree of Life — grounding divine principles into lived experience through movement, breath, meditation, and prayer, culminating in deep communion, silence, and renewal.
