About this Retreat
Wellness Center Founder + Ayurvedic Consultant + Yoga Teacher
Her passion was crafting unique experiences that made others feel the importance of wellness. In one way or another, she had been preparing for this her entire life. She had changed careers and interests a few times. She loved everything from her past, but not one thing would fully satisfy her. She went to art school, later trained and worked as a sommelier, and after some incredible twists and swirls, she made it into the movie industry designing movie sets. This led her to restaurant design and eventually to her first hotel.
She saw how everything she had explored and done in her life was a key element in what she did then. She was finally and completely fulfilled by what she did: she created experiences to remind and connect others with the inherent joy in everyday living.
When she started her journey with Ayurveda, she had no idea what life had in store for her. As she deepened into Ayurveda practices, she had a constant feeling of remembering. The body and soul remembered their natural state of ease and flow. Through Ayurveda, she discovered that finding joy and harmony in the modern existence was a lot easier than she thought. She simply had to go back to basics. Ayurveda and its yoga practices were one with nature and its natural processes and cycles.
One of her biggest joys was sharing her yoga practice with others. For her, yoga was the practice of connecting with the body, and from that deep connection, she could further connect to her spirituality. Yoga was a tool of embodiment, a space to integrate life and all its experiences, the beauty and sorrow, and all the ups as well as downs. It was an honor for her to guide others into this practice, into inhabiting their bodies with intention and awareness.

Details of this retreat
· Ayurvedic Retreat by Sylvia De Marco·
“I am really excited to host a 6 days retreat fully dedicated to sharing Ayurvedic knowledge, focusing on Ayurvedic principles, and learning how to integrate this powerful wisdom into your everyday life. I am a believer that once you flirt with Ayurveda, she will develop an unique relationship with you to support you, to balance you so you can live a fuller life, and to enrich your health in a way that you will emanate vibrancy and joy. The more ‘ayurvedized’ your life is, the more magnetism is built in your energetic field, attracting more of what you emanate.
This retreat takes you behind the scenes of ancient Ayurvedic practices, teaching you how to integrate them into your daily life
It will be an honor to guide you into a hands-on, immersive experience where you learn to be the magician of your own well-being—discovering how to create rituals, perform treatments, and adopt practices that bring balance and vitality long after the retreat ends
Think of it as the retreat to end all retreats—a way to turn your everyday life into a sanctuary of healing and rejuvenation
I like to think of Ayurveda as a reunion with feminine wisdom which isn't something we need to learn. It's something to be remembered. This is an an invitation for us to tap into the ancient knowing that stirs within each one of us, calling us back to our true selves. With every herb, every meal, every ritual, we're designing portals to the divine—and our true selves.
I will be welcoming 14 students only to ensure optimum attention to the group. I will be running this retreat with my wonderful and knowledgable co facilitators, Lindsay Calloway, our wellness coordinator and ayurvedic consultant, and Monica Casanova, ayurvedic practioner and Panchakarma specialist.”

·AYURVEDIC NUTRITION PRINCIPALS·
This segment of Ayurvedic nutrition principals will go hand in hand with 3 cooking classes and one theoretical class. We will be indulging in a balanced ayurvedic diet during the whole retreat so we can experiment first hand how our Agni (digestive fire) resets and can support us bringing our metabolic force to its prime level. We will explore ayurvedic nutrition with a creative eye: we tend to think that to eat ayurvedically is to eat Indian food, and really what it truly means is how to balance the flavors and spices of our meals and when and how we eat them. I have created an exciting menu where we can explore other cuisines under an ayurvedic lense, this will provide you with the knowledge on how to transform your pre existing cooking style into an ayurvedic format.
The 3 cooking classes will be prior to 3 of our lunches, so we will be cooking for ourselves during this 3 meals.
·THE AYURVEDIC CLOCK & THE CIRCADIAN RYTHMS·
The schedule design of the retreat will allow you to enter fully into the wisdom of the ayurvedic clock and it will give you a strong kick start into what is like to be in full co existence to the circadian consciousness of the earth. When we fall into this alignment, the pre programing of our celular functions become fully in synch, creating a deep feeling of wellbeing and wholesomeness. It is my opinion that most of dis-ease comes from not being part of the circadian flow due to modernity and excess of outer stimuli. This is one of my favorite subjects and I promise you I will make it fun and accesible
·THE DOSHAS: OUR GENETIC BLUE PRINT·
We learn about the doshas and how this information is your vehicle to navigate this human experience, to understand yourself deeper and with better tools. Learning what is the ideal food for you, how to shift your daily activities so you have more energy and focus for your daily tasks, how to increment your creative juices, what rituals to develop to support you, what routines are imperative for you. You will also learn how to recognizes other’s doshas, which will give you further guidance on how to relate to members of your family, team workers, and partners to mention few. We will have a fun space to do dosha tests on each others, and share notes and wisdom. We will learn how to read the tongue, and other parts of the body which are full of important information about our blue print and imbalances.
·DINACHARYA & AYURVEDIC HERBAL CONCOCTION·
During the retreat we will partake on several ayurvedic routines that are essential to keep the body detoxified and lubricated for optimum performance. This routines are called dinacharyas, and they not only work on the physical level, but also energetic and spiritual.
This rituals are made with ancient ayurvedic herbal and oil formulas, which we will make together so you can continue your dinacharya journey at home and even share with the ones around you.
·YOGA·
Yoga is one of the dinacharyas of ayurveda, and part of the ayurvedic health system. Through yoga practices we can have an integrative approach with the body, prana, senses, mind and consciousness. Yoga gives us an opportunity to be fully present, to digest life, to explore our capacities, state of mind, state of prana and to help us digest life, experiences. We will be practicing invigoration vinyasa yoga every morning. Our classes will start with a 30 min yoga workshop and followed by an hour and a half of vinyasa flow. If you are a beginner practitioner we will have a beginners class for you as well!
