About this Retreat
Alison Sinatra has spent over 25 years helping people reconnect with their bodies and cultivate balance through movement and mindfulness. She began her journey as a senior teacher at Kula Yoga Project in Tribeca, where she also served on the faculty for teacher training programs and led retreats worldwide. For over two decades, Alison has called the Hudson Valley home, offering group classes and creating healing spaces, particularly for women. As a medicine woman, she integrates wisdom from North and South American indigenous traditions into her work, blending ancient teachings with intuitive approaches to healing. Currently, Alison leads Sacred Sisterhood, a nine-month program guiding women through diverse healing modalities and spiritual practices alongside guest facilitators. She is also trained in Dr. Gabor Maté’s Compassionate Inquiry, an approach rooted in understanding addiction and trauma. In her private sessions, she combines somatic dialogue, breathwork, spiritual guidance, and yoga. In addition, Alison designs rites of passage rituals, honoring life’s transitions with care and intention.
Lynn Schauwecker is the Managing Director of Menla and a dedicated advocate for Indigenous communities, with over 20 years of experience collaborating with them. She has developed and hosted numerous women's gatherings, including the inaugural event for the International Council of Thirteen Indigenous Grandmothers. Lynn studied under Grandmother Maria Alice and facilitated the journey of the Mama Kogui grandmothers to Brazil for a significant meeting of grandmothers. Walking a shamanic path for over two decades, she has also been leading sweat lodges specifically for women's circles.
Now in her second year of the Gabor Maté Compassionate Inquiry Mentorship training, Lynn is deeply committed to fostering equality, compassion, joy, and love. Her work reflects a heartfelt passion for supporting women and embodying the spirit of sisterhood in all that she does.
Details of this retreat
Join us for the Circle of Creation, a retreat designed to guide women into the sacred depths of their being. Together, we will honor the womb as a place of creation and healing—a source of life that also holds the echoes of past wounds.
Through ritual, ceremony, yoga, breathwork, and the power of sisterhood, we will create a space to release, renew, and reconnect. This retreat is an invitation to embrace your feminine essence, heal, and step into your full creative power.
