The Story of Johnny: A Journey to the Wisdom of Yagé
Johnny’s path to Medicine began long before he was fully aware of it. In his family, the knowledge of healing plants had been passed down through generations. His grandmother had been walking the ancestral path for many years, never turning to Western medicine. Whenever illness arose, she would seek the guidance of taitas—the guardians of ancient wisdom.
Following her example, Johnny’s mother also learned to care for her physical, mental, and spiritual well-being in the same way. She introduced him to the taitas when he was only eight years old. That was the first time he drank Yagé (Ayahuasca).
Today, as a young shaman, Johnny brings a fresh perspective to ancient knowledge. To him, shamanism is more than just a practice—it is a profound opportunity to connect with his Spirit, commune with the Creator, and explore the mysteries of the Universe. It is a path where he learns to find harmony between thoughts and emotions, helping him understand his true purpose.
Many people seek him out for physical healing, but Johnny knows that true healing is a lifelong journey—one that gradually leads a person to the place they are meant to reach. In today’s world, there are many methods of treatment, yet he believes that in the past, his people had only one true source of healing—Medicine and the gifts of the jungle. And so, he continues on this path, preserving the ancient wisdom and sharing it with those who are ready to receive it.
