About this Retreat
Don Manual and Guadalupe are indigenous Zapotec Curanderos, trained from childhood in the shamanic traditions of the Oaxaca region. Together with their children and grandchildren they built the Mailiolin center to grow their healing work and honor the beautiful forest lands that produce the wise psilocybin mushrooms.
Don Manuel has worked with universities and medical groups for over a decade imparting an understanding of the ways of traditional medicine. Guadalupe works deeply within her community using traditional curanderismo to retrieve lost parts of the soul, balance and restore health and reverse shock and trauma.
Together with their three children who are also trained in the healing arts, they work with the deeply sacred teoananacatl to restore balance and understanding to humanity.
Sarah Hope is a nature connected coach, retreat leader and ceremonialist of Celtic and Scandinavian ancestry. She has been in service for the last decade, as a musician, underground guide, and ceremonialist, leading rites of passage.
She holds a unique space as a bridge connecting indigenous shamanic wisdom, modern psychology, and ancestral earth medicine practice.
She has been taking groups to Oaxaca, Mexico since 2018. These transformational retreats are geared toward clinicians new to psychedelic practice and psychedelic facilitators interested in indigenous wisdom.
Education: She has studied with guides and medicine women in Oaxaca and Central Mexico and holds degrees in Psychology, Spanish, and Education as well as training in Nature Connected Coaching, Gestalt therapy, partswork and a wide variety entheogenic and earth-based traditions.

with Indigenous Ceremony, Soul Integration & Earth-Rooted Reclamation
October 24 – November 3, 2025 | Oaxaca, Mexico**
You’ve journeyed before. You’ve touched the mystery. And yet, something in you is still reaching — for deeper meaning, for ancestral connection, for the why behind your healing.
This isn’t just another retreat. This is a ceremonial return.
Join us in the sacred highlands of Oaxaca during Día de los Muertos, a time when the veil is thin and the spirits walk with us. Guided by a Mazatec indigenous family who have kept the mushroom traditions alive for generations, and held within the care of skilled integration and soul work facilitators, this retreat offers you a rare alchemy: ancient medicine, modern healing, and mythic remembrance.
You will not be a tourist here — you will be a guest in a living lineage.
