What always moves me is the all-embracing insights I have seen people experience time and time again. The same miracle again and again! For a long time I have wondered what I will do in this world. After being misled for years, my first step was in the right direction towards the Kashmir Yoga and Rebalancing training. I found myself there again! Ayahuasca added another substantial layer to that. During my first journey, I saw that the best way to reach people is not with my words - but with my silence. The second journey taught me what I had to overcome to make this happen. Stopping my weed smoking for example, was a prerequisite because if I want to find true unity, I had to purify myself. In my last journey, I was shown that all the preconditions were met - I was able to get started with the next step in my path. In the meantime, I have led and guided more than 200 Ayahuasca journeys and experienced that my presence offers safety for what needs to be experienced. What always moves me is the all-embracing insights I have seen people experience time and time again. The same miracle again and again!

My name is Marnix, I'm your devoted guide and (integration) coach. After working in advertising and the music industry for many years, I overcame my addictions and anxiety, and fell in love with non-duality and plant medicine. My personal journeys with Mother Aya have been profoundly invigorating and powerful, and I just love being with people who are courageous enough to take this specific journey. I cherish the moments as a guide where I can provide safety and love and inspired words, so please feel welcome and join us at Ancient Mother!

Details of this retreat

Our journey begins on Friday afternoon. We kindly ask all participants to arrive by 1 PM.

Held in a serene and intimate location surrounded by nature, the retreat offers a safe and nurturing space to reconnect with yourself and each other. Upon arrival, we welcome you to our cozy farm. With a warm cup of tea in hand, we’ll begin with a gentle introduction round. There will be space to settle in, ask questions, and change into something comfortable before the ceremony begins.

On Friday evening, we’ll hold the first Ayahuasca ceremony, which usually lasts around six hours. Afterward, we’ll offer a fresh fruit salad followed by a nourishing, home-cooked vegetarian meal. The second ceremony takes place on Saturday. Sunday is dedicated to integration: sharing what has been seen and felt, walking in nature, and connecting by the fire.

Before the retreat, we’ll send you detailed travel instructions. If needed, we’re happy to pick you up from Assen Station.

- Meetup at Motherland at 1 pm, introduction to Ayahuasca and the journey
- Start of first ceremony around 3 pm
- End of ceremony around 9 pm, time for fresh fruit and nourishing soup

- Time to journal
- Sharing around 11 am
- Nature walk around 12 pm
- Start of second ceremony around 2 pm
- End of ceremony around 8 or 9 pm
- Bedtime

Day 3:
- Breakfast and integration conversation around 9 am
- Sharing around 11 am
- End of 3-day retreat around 12 pm

Oh what a privilege to be able to write this.

This retreat was not simply a light, relaxed, ceremony weekend. It was one of the most profound experiences of my life. I arrived searching for answers and left with a deeper appreciation for love, life, and the mystery itself. It’s not knowledge I acquired but a deep remembering in my soul.

If you are considering this work, know that you will be held by people who approach it with sincerity, integrity, wisdom, and immense heart. Several times the guides held me like a child and guided me second by second through the hardest thing I’ve ever done. From the moment I arrived I felt supported, seen, and protected.

What an amazing experience. This was my first time doing an ayahuasca ceremony and I was very nervous about how it would go. Marnix, Margriet, & Emmeline were amazing guides who are so full of wisdom and love. This 3 day retreat was a pleasure for me and my friend. We were welcomed very warmly. The accommodation was quite nice. The food very good and healthy.
The two ceremonies were well prepared and performed with lots of love. Great music. We felt save and welcomed during the whole time. Thanks to Margriet, Marnix and Ilko form our heart.
Music and recommendations were shared afterwards and a WhatsApp group was set up for further questions.
