About this Retreat

Details of this retreat

There’s something magic about setting out on foot, carrying just the essentials on our backs, surrendering to the rhythm of nature’s paths as we wander across vast distances. Long walks in nature are a balm to ease stress, spark clarity, and renew our spirits. Walking is medicine to quiet the mind, awaken the senses, and tune into the depths of ourselves.

This isn’t merely a two-week hike. It’s a pilgrimage, a nomadic retreat, an invitation to slow down, reconnect, and recharge amid the raw splendor of Portugal’s Rota Vicentina, the Fisherman’s Trail. With the Atlantic as our steady companion and the earth grounding each step, we journey not just through a breathtaking landscape, but into the richness within ourselves and the quiet truths waiting to be uncovered.

**Introduction** **about how beliefs and feelings shape reality**

We begin our journey by exploring the nature of reality, uncovering how our beliefs and emotions shape our experiences, and learning to consciously align our energy more to what we want to experience in our life. Then over these weeks, we reflect on seven key areas of life, to bring clarity and insight into our current path, exploring our feelings, beliefs, and habits, reconnecting with our heart’s true desires, and planting seeds for new beliefs and habits to more fulfilling outcomes.

**Sharing Circles**

Each sharing session opens with an introduction to the day’s theme, offering valuable insights and practical tools for that specific area of life.

In the first round, we share our current situations, feelings, and beliefs, guided by specific questions tailored to each topic yet always leaving room for free expression. This becomes a space for self-awareness and mutual inspiration, where we gently drop, little by little, judgments about ourselves or life situation, opening up to vulnerability and authenticity in an intimate and supportive circle.

In the second round, we share what we want experience, feelings and beliefs we want to embody, and the obstacles that stand in our way. Here, we reconnect with our wildest aspirations and heart’s desires. Each of us carries a purpose, a spark for fulfilment, and becoming more aware of it gives us energy and inspiration to live more fully and bloom in our uniqueness.

**Music** **in the walk**

A guitar travels with us, offering spontaneous songs during the journey and guiding us in more intentional singing circles whenever the trail and weather invite us to gather. Music and singing enrich our experience, connecting us more from the heart.

**Cacao Ceremony**

Along the way, the sacred medicine of cacao joins us in 2 ceremonies, infusing our pilgrimage with profound connection. As we sip this ancient gift, offering gratitude and singing heart songs, its warmth fuels our steps and softly opens our hearts, deepening our bond to the beauty within and around us.

**A Day of Silence**

As our journey nears its end, we dedicate one full day to silence, a sacred pause to walk with intention and presence. Without words, we listen more deeply: to the wind, the waves, our breath, and the quiet truths that rise from within. This silent walk becomes an intimate mirror, offering space to integrate and connect beyond words.

**Walking together**

Sharing walks, feelings, meals, accommodations and spaces brings us both the challenges and joys of being together, giving us the opportunity to grow as a group with every step we take, deepening the relationships among each other.

The best part of this journey is doing it together with like-minded friends. Walking with others makes everything stronger: our stories, feelings, joys, shadows and support. We laugh, we cry, stay quiet, sing, and walk side by side, building something special. This is the beauty of a group: we empower each other to shine and find our way back to ourselves.

*Come walk with us on this adventure, where every step is a prayer, every breath is alive, and every heartbeat reminds us that everything is possible and we can live the life we want.*

Schedule

Each day on the trail is a journey in itself, shaped by the land, the weather, our energy, and the magic of the unexpected. While nothing is set in stone, here’s how a day might unfold:

We wake up at 6 am, allowing ourselves to greet the rising sun in silence and presence. There’s something sacred about those early hours: the stillness, the light, the promise of a new day. We prepare ourselves and our backpacks and we begin with a morning ritual: meditation or gentle yoga, to center ourselves and tune in, rather inside or outside depending on circumstances.

By 7 am, we set off, walking under the soft morning light. We pause along the way for a simple breakfast and then continue, letting the trail guide us. When the moment feels right and the setting invites it, we gather for our first sharing session, opening space to reflect, express, and connect.

The walk is not rushed, we take time to stop, breathe in the ocean views, play a song or simply sit in awe. Around midday, we take a longer break for a light lunch, something easy that nourish without weighing us down, so we can walk with ease.

The afternoon continues with more walking, laughter, quiet moments, and when we feel the right space and mood, we hold our second sharing session, completing the process into the day’s theme and into ourselves.

Once we arrive at our destination, we head to our accommodation, whether a guesthouse, hostel, or campsite, and enjoy some free time to shower, rest, or simply be. In the evening, we share a communal dinner, often at a local restaurant, savoring food, stories, and togetherness. After that, the night is open, whether spent in quiet reflection, group connection, or spontaneous music under the stars.

We sleep early, gently closing the day with a short meditation, ready to rise again for another step on this beautiful path.
