Hey, I’m Karlijn,
I work as a psychedelic facilitator and therapist in the Netherlands. I’m here to bring people back to the wisdom of their hearts, the place where all answers can be found. I believe that we are our very own medicine men and women. We have the potential to heal ourselves from within. I’m on a mission to share this medicine with the world, for those who are ready to step into the potential of our authentic selves and live a life from love, trust, and purpose.
In my work with clients, I facilitate from a place of deep inner knowing. I create a safe space for you to journey deep into your own inner world. In this sacred space, I invite you to welcome everything that wants to be seen, felt, and expressed. This is where the process of transformation, healing and growth will take place.
After my Master’s Degree in 2011, I worked for several years as an HR Consultant for the corporate world. I felt disconnected from my own heart and the world around me. I didn’t feel at home in myself. I tried to work hard to ‘become’ someone. It was never enough. It made me sick. My soul whispered that there was more than earning money and trying to fit in a system that didn’t resonate with me. Ayahuasca, the Mother Plant, ‘called’ and my first journey with her expanded my consciousness tremendously. This was the starting point of many journeys and deep inner work. I feel grateful that I had the opportunity to learn and work with the Indigenous tribes from South America and western traditions.
At some point, I felt a deep inner calling to facilitate other people in their transformation processes. I started an intense one-year training in transformation and shamanism. During this year I learned how to facilitate sacred ceremonies. Since 2018, I’ve been devoting myself to working with the medicine in a therapeutic setting. I’m deeply touched by the transformation processes of the people I work with.
My biggest life lesson is that I learned to change my life from a state of survival to a state of (self)love, trust and surrender to the unknown. I know that everything is connected, and we are part of a bigger whole. Sometimes we need to embrace the darkness in order to see the light.
Besides working with clients, I love to make long hikes in nature. On Friday evenings you probably find me on the ecstatic dance floor. I live in the forest in my tiny house where I enjoy the beauty of the seasons. Community life is what makes my heart sing. Making fires and having beautiful and heart-opening conversations with my friends and family. Heart-based living in connection with myself, the people around me and nature is what I stand for.

A Private Psilocybin Therapy Session includes a preparatory session (this can take place via Skype) to get to know you, discuss your dosage and to help you to get clear on your intention. You will have your own private trauma integration facilitator staying present with you for full 7 hours to assist you on your journey within.
We ask you not to plan anything afterwards but just to be with yourself fully for the rest of the day until you go to sleep. Or have a supportive friend or partner with you.
After your Psilocybin Experience you can choose to have one or several integration sessions (in person or online) on the following day and/or in the days/weeks following your Psilocybin experience.
You will book your own accommodation in Amsterdam and we will come to your accommodation.

You will book your own accommodation in Amsterdam and we will come to your accommodation. The advantage with having the ceremony at your Airbnb or other accommodation is that you will not have to move after the session is over, when you will have come down from the Psilocybin. You will still feel quite sensitive after the 5-7 hour session and a walk through the city may feel overwhelming.

When I started my quest to find a guided psychedelic experience, A Whole New High (now Inner Shift) felt right immediately. They were responsive and provided information and guidance. Had my first-ever experience with plant medicine (psilocybin) with Caro and the Inner Shift Institute, and I couldn't be happier with my choice. The entire team, from booking to trip guidance and integration, truly managed to create the best possible setting for a first-timer.
The preparation was thorough and I was sent a bunch of useful resources well in time before the trip, all very helpful for a soft introduction to the world of psychedelics. This included a whole video course, a preparation video, book recommendations, and so forth.
Caro was a wonderful guide throughout my experience. The preparation session was great, and she was thorough, analytical, and emotionally sound when guiding me in setting an intention for the trip. The result was great confidence and a calm, clear mind ahead of the experience.

She created a comfortable, safe, light, and professional setting from the minute we met, and ensured the same atmosphere throughout the experience. To me, this resulted in complete trust, surrender, and readiness both ahead of, during, and after the trip.
The integration session took place a few days after the trip, granting me the time needed to thoroughly reflect upon the experience on my own first. During the integration, Caro truly helped me both make sense of my visions and connect them to my intention, my patterns, and life itself.
