About this Retreat
Dr. Sherif Zaher brings a unique blend of academic excellence and athletic achievement to our team. He holds a doctorate in clinical psychology and a master’s degree in sports performance, combining deep psychological insight with elite-level coaching expertise. A former NCAA champion with the University of Georgia (1999), Sherif spent six years as a Division I head coach, shaping top-tier collegiate athletes.
On the international stage, Sherif has reached the pinnacle of Masters tennis, achieving the world #1 ITF ranking in doubles in both the 40+ and 45+ categories. He is a Buffalo Tennis Hall of Fame inductee and an African Games Pickleball Champion in both singles and mixed doubles.
As co-founder and partner of ZZsports, Sherif plays a vital role in designing high-impact sports experiences. His dedication to performance, mindset, and holistic development makes him an essential part of our retreat leadership.
A former Junior Egyptian Tennis Champion and ITF Juniors competitor, Omar brings a wealth of athletic experience to our team. After graduating from college, he continued his passion for sports by playing and coaching both tennis and pickleball. When he's not on the court, Omar plays a key role behind the scenes, organizing and managing events for ZZsports. His energy, leadership, and dedication make him an invaluable member of our retreat team.
Margo Zaher lives in El Gouna, Egypt with her husband and two sons. She leads the marketing and outreach efforts for ZZsports, where she combines her passion for communication with a love for community engagement. An avid sports enthusiast, Margo enjoys playing all racket sports, meeting new people, and exploring new destinations through travel.

Your typical day at the retreat is designed to balance structured Pickleball sessions with immersive activities and free time to unwind or explore at your leisure.

General Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrival in Hurghada & Transfer to El Gouna Resort Town
Arrive at Hurghada International Airport (HRG).
Private transfer to your luxury lodging in El Gouna.
Evening welcome dinner & orientation by the Red Sea.
Day 2 – El Gouna Pickleball & Leisure
Morning pickleball clinic and social play.
Afternoon relaxation by the pool or beach, or an optional lagoon boat tour.
Evening group dinner at a seaside restaurant.
Day 3 – El Gouna Pickleball & Adventure
Morning pickleball drills and match play.
Afternoon optional excursions: snorkeling, diving, kitesurfing, or desert safari.
Sunset free time at the marina or beach club.
Day 4 – Transfer to Cairo
Morning transfer from El Gouna to Cairo (approximately 4–5 hours).
Check in to your luxury boutique hotel near the Pyramids.

Eurowings: offers affordable flights from Germany to Hurghada, with low pricing.
Air Cairo: operates nonstop flights from Vienna to Hurghada, with five weekly departures.
Where is Air Malta: run seasonal direct flights from Rome to Hurghada, typically from June to October.

Proceed to the visa kiosk/desk: upon arrival, before reaching passport control, pay the visa fee: the visa fee is $25, payable in US dollars, euros, or British pounds. It's advisable to carry the exact amount in cash exchange as change may not always be available.
Receive your visa sticker: after payment, you'll receive a visa sticker. I fix the sticker to a blank page in your passport. Ensure your passport is valid for at least six months from your date of entry and has at least two blank pages.
Proceed to immigration: with a visa sticker in place, move onto the immigration counter. Present your passport and complete landing card. The immigration officer will stamp your passport, granting you entry into Egypt.
