About this Retreat
Dr. Sherif Zaher brings a unique blend of academic excellence and athletic achievement to our team. He holds a doctorate in clinical psychology and a master’s degree in sports performance, combining deep psychological insight with elite-level coaching expertise. A former NCAA champion with the University of Georgia (1999), Sherif spent six years as a Division I head coach, shaping top-tier collegiate athletes.
On the international stage, Sherif has reached the pinnacle of Masters tennis, achieving the world #1 ITF ranking in doubles in both the 40+ and 45+ categories. He is a Buffalo Tennis Hall of Fame inductee and an African Games Pickleball Champion in both singles and mixed doubles.
As co-founder and partner of ZZsports, Sherif plays a vital role in designing high-impact sports experiences. His dedication to performance, mindset, and holistic development makes him an essential part of our retreat leadership.
Marwan Ziwar is a highly accomplished tennis professional with a storied career that spans both national and international success. As a Junior Egyptian, Arab, and African Champion, he rose to a career-high ranking of #7 in the ITF Juniors and competed in prestigious tournaments including the junior French Open, US Open, and Wimbledon. He was also part of the Egyptian team that won the Junior World Cup in Osaka, Japan.
Marwan achieved a top 300 ATP ranking and represented Egypt in the Davis Cup. Today, he continues to compete at a world-class level on the ITF Masters Tour, currently ranked #36 in singles, #2 in mixed doubles, and #3 in men’s doubles in the 40+ category.
Beyond the court, Marwan is the co-founder and partner of ZZsports with Sherif Zaher. His deep expertise, strategic leadership, and lifelong dedication to sport make him an invaluable part of our retreat team.
A former Junior Egyptian Tennis Champion and ITF Juniors competitor, Omar brings a wealth of athletic experience to our team. After graduating from college, he continued his passion for sports by playing and coaching both tennis and pickleball. When he's not on the court, Omar plays a key role behind the scenes, organizing and managing events for ZZsports. His energy, leadership, and dedication make him an invaluable member of our retreat team.
Margo Zaher lives in El Gouna, Egypt with her husband and two sons. She leads the marketing and outreach efforts for ZZsports, where she combines her passion for communication with a love for community engagement. An avid sports enthusiast, Margo enjoys playing all racket sports, meeting new people, and exploring new destinations through travel.
