Beautiful Traditional Ayahuasca Retreat

Johnny Benavides is a traditional and ancestral healer from the Amazonian capital of Putumayo. Geographically, he is part of the Inga culture and, through his medicine work, is an active member of the Yanacona community in Pitalito. He began his journey with ancestral medicine at the age of six and has since learned from the Kofan community of Orito, Putumayo. As an apprentice and musical companion, he has worked alongside several respected elders, including: Tatta Gerardo Silva Trejos (Yanacona, Pitalito) Taita Manuel Díaz (Inga, Amazon of Putumayo) Taita Rafael Restrepo (Yanacona, La Hormiga, Putumayo) His path in ancestral wisdom has also introduced him to other sacred medicines, including Kambo and the medicine of music. As a musical artist, he not only performs during ayahuasca ceremonies but also in concerts featuring medicine music and Latin American social music. Spiritually, his mission is to channel the divine energy of God into his own life and the lives of others. He believes that, in our brief time on Earth, we are called to share what we’ve learned for the good of humanity.
