Eco-Mindful Exploration to Cultivate Self-Awareness

Join us for a transformative 6-day retreat in the lush landscapes of Chiang Mai, Northern Thailand, where mindfulness, nature, and embodiment come together in a unique sensory journey. Rooted in the Five Elements — earth, water, fire, air, and space— this retreat invites you to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and attune to the natural rhythms of the world around you.

Set in the serene Le Cocotier Resort, surrounded by tropical gardens and gentle jungle sounds, each day will focus on one of the elements through mindfulness practices, sensory rituals, embodiment, and nature immersions. You’ll move, breathe, and feel — grounding into the earth, flowing with water, igniting your inner fire, expanding into air, and resting in spacious awareness.

One of the highlights of the retreat is a guided mountain trek and overnight stay in a remote village, where simplicity, silence, and star-filled skies offer a rare and enriching connection to nature and self.

The retreat is guided by Laura Festa, a certified nature-based mindfulness coach and mentor, and co-organized with Active Thailand — a local tour operator since 1991, known for crafting meaningful, off-the-beaten-path adventures that blend culture, nature, and exploration. Specializing in authentic, immersive experiences across Northern Thailand, they bring deep regional knowledge and a passion for connecting travelers with the heart of the land and its people.

7:30—8:30: Qigong practice to wake the body and the senses / eco-somatic practice - meditations
9:00—10:00: Breakfast
10:30—12:30: Awareness circle (group session with mentoring, group sharing, and mindfulness meditation)
13:00—14:00: Mindful lunch
14:00—16:00: Me-time for journaling and reflections, massage, or individual coaching (w/ advanced bookings)
16:00—17:30: Guided mindful exploration: Meditation in motion of the day - Nature trail walk
18:30—19:30: Mindful dinner
19:30—20:30: Awareness circle at bonfire to close the day

Directions

Our retreat center is located in Chiang Mai, Northern Thailand. The closest airport is Chiang Mai International Airport (CNX), which receives both domestic and some international flights.

If you're traveling from outside Asia, you may need to connect through Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) or another major hub in the region. From Bangkok, there are frequent short flights (approximately 1 hour) to Chiang Mai.

We recommend booking a connecting flight to CNX for the smoothest arrival.
