About this Retreat
Ay Lin completed an extensive mindfulness course at Radboud University in the Netherlands, with over 100 hours of guided practice. During the COVID period, she deepened her experience by completing an online mindfulness certification as well.
Health and well-being have always been part of her path. She began by sharing knowledge about nutrition and mindful eating, in her book Healthy & Happy Without Diets. In her younger years, she also worked as a sports instructor — a reflection of her lifelong dedication to balanced living.
Today, her focus is on mindful living at a slower, more natural pace. Through walking the Caminho in Portugal (she is the expert on all caminho's in Portugal). and guiding gentle mindfulness practices, Ay Lin supports others in reconnecting with themselves. Sharing health wisdom; physical, emotional, and spiritual, is part of her ongoing mission: to help others live a Healthy & Happy life, from the inside out.
Details of this retreat
We created this Mindful Walking Retreat because a person needs a space where time slows down, where you can recharge.
We are here for those who don’t just want a retreat, but a pause — to recover from stress, burnout, noise, screens and adapt a mindful lifestyle. A moment to rest deeply, walk in silence, breathe more slowly, and return to a healthy rhythm — in body and mind.
We offer simple, nourishing days in nature: walks on quiet trails, healthy meals, space to stretch, rest, journal, and simply be. It’s not about performance or pressure. It’s about recovering your own pace — the one that feels right for you.
You don’t have to be “spiritual” or experienced. Just open to the idea that slowing down heals.
Casa da Lima is surrounded by forest and silence. Here, we listen to birds instead of traffic. We take care of the body with food, movement, and rest.
This retreat is part of a broader mission: to share health, presence, and real-life mindfulness — after seeing firsthand what stress and overload can do to the body.
Come as you are. You’re welcome here.
Other retreat guest shared that they felt taken care of, they were happy to stay nourished by nature and by Casa da Lima. The retreat was more than a present, one which they didn't expect.
