About this Retreat
Ay Lin completed an extensive mindfulness course at Radboud University in the Netherlands, with over 100 hours of guided practice. During the COVID period, she deepened her experience by completing an online mindfulness certification as well.
Health and well-being have always been part of her path. She began by sharing knowledge about nutrition and mindful eating, in her book Healthy & Happy Without Diets. In her younger years, she also worked as a sports instructor — a reflection of her lifelong dedication to balanced living.
Today, her focus is on mindful living at a slower, more natural pace. Through walking the Caminho in Portugal (she is the expert on all caminho's in Portugal). and guiding gentle mindfulness practices, Ay Lin supports others in reconnecting with themselves. Sharing health wisdom; physical, emotional, and spiritual, is part of her ongoing mission: to help others live a Healthy & Happy life, from the inside out.
Details of this retreat
Join us on a five-day pilgrimage to Fátima, walking one of the most breathtaking sections of the Camino Portuguese - Fatima - and even to Santiago de Compostela. the few pilgrims that dare to walk this path by themselves say that the stretch from Coimbra to Fátima is the most beautiful part of the entire route—winding through peaceful countryside, and historic Roman paths. Casa da Lima happens to be right along this ancient trail!
However, the lesser-known route between Coimbra and Fátima is quiet and raw; No albergues or cafés along the way from our place after Ansiao towards Fatima. No food, no clear places to stop. Quite scary to take off, especially when you are in a different country. That’s exactly why we created this 6-day mindful pilgrimage, to offer a safe, supported version of the real experience. You still walk the full route, but we arrange the pickups, food, and overnights so you can walk peacefully, without stress or discomfort and without a big bag pack. The second unique thing: Mindful yoga stretching after every walk, which will relax your muscles. And before going to bed, a mindful meditation body scan will make you aware of every part of your body, aching or non-aching.
