Therapeutai and guardian of the altar. He facilitates master plant ceremonies dedicated to deep healing and the expansion of consciousness. Guided by ancestral wisdom, his work focuses on holding safe spaces for inner encounter, emotional release, and spiritual transformation. He also performs energetic cleansings with plants and ointments, working from an integral approach that unites body, mind, and spirit. Trained at Toca do Dragão, he completed four years of isolation in the mountains of Santa Bárbara — an experience that deeply informs the authenticity and depth of his service.
A son of the New Mexican desert, he journeyed across the world in search of spirit, visiting sacred places such as the Church of San Juan Chamula, with Mayan influence, in Chiapas, Mexico; the Hermitage of Saint Francis of Assisi; the Buddhas of Bamiyan in Afghanistan; the Taj Mahal and various sanctuaries in India, among others.
Now, for the past 36 years, together with the apus, achachilas, and wakas of Bolivia, Tata has been the host of Casa Pueblo, located on Churuquella hill in the historic city of Sucre—a center dedicated to healing and spiritual awakening.
He is also the founder of Colibrí, a collective of young environmental activists devoted to honoring and protecting our Mother Earth.

Directions
Casa Pueblo is located at Second Station of Cerro Churuquella, Ruta del Peregrino Street No. 11, about 4 km south of Sucre city center.
From Sucre Airport (Alcantari Airport - SRE):
Distance: Approximately 27 km to Casa Pueblo.
Taxi Cost: Around 60 Bolivianos (~9 USD) for a direct taxi ride.
Travel Time: About 30 to 40 minutes depending on traffic.
Take an official taxi from the airport directly to Casa Pueblo.
From Sucre Main Bus Terminal (Terminal Intercambiador):
Distance: Approximately 8 km to Casa Pueblo.
Taxi Cost: Around 20-30 Bolivianos (~3-4 USD).
Travel Time: About 15 to 25 minutes depending on traffic.
From the bus terminal, take a taxi heading toward Cerro Churuquella or Ruta del Peregrino street.
Directions to Casa Pueblo:
Head south from the city center or bus terminal along Avenida del Ejército.
Continue until you reach Ruta del Peregrino street.
Ascend to the Second Station of Cerro Churuquella.
