Along the way, meet friendly locals who have been crafting incense here for generations. We end the day with a relaxing yoga session and dinner at our resort.
BICH DONG PAGODA & TAM COC CAVE EXPERIENCE
We begin with a short drive to Bich Dong Pagoda, known as the Pagoda of the Emerald Cave, set against the backdrop of Bich Dong Mountain and surrounded by rice fields. After climbing the stone steps, you’ll discover three ancient pagodas featuring traditional wood and stone architecture.
After lunch at a local restaurant, we take a peaceful 1.5-hour sampan ride through the Ngo Dong River, drifting past rice paddies and into the three natural caves of Tam Coc, surrounded by stunning limestone cliffs.
BAI DINH PAGODA & MOUNTAIN VIEWPOINT
Visit Bai Dinh, the largest pagoda complex in Vietnam, built across the slopes of Dinh Mountain. The site features thousands of Buddha statues in various sizes, including one towering over 10 meters high. The uphill walk can be challenging, but an optional electric car is available. We explore the prayer halls and terrace of statues, key highlights of Bai Dinh’s grand architecture. For those seeking more adventure, a climb to the mountain summit reveals a giant statue of Buddha Sakyamuni and sweeping views of the surrounding limestone landscape.
