Julio Kintu

About the Teacher

Why study with them?

ulio Kintu walks the path of remembrance—a traveler devoted to rediscovering his humanity and living what his ancestors called The Good Life: Lekil Kuxlejal in Maya, Sumaj Kawsay in Quechua. His journey has been one of deep initiation, guided not by deliberate seeking but by the wisdom of life itself. His teachers appeared in moments of divine timing, and his lessons were etched into both flesh and spirit.

Born into a family whose ancestral roots were severed by colonialism, Julio carries within him the living memory that refuses to fade. That memory called to him early. At fourteen, he felt the pulse of his blood guiding him back to the medicine of his lineage. Through his aunt, Zara Rodas—a shaman from the lands between Mexico and Guatemala—he was reminded of who he was and where he came from. That reconnection ignited a lifelong journey with no return, a devotion to remembering and reclaiming the sacred.

Julio has been initiated into the sacred tradition of Mexica dance, where the rhythm of the drum mirrors the heartbeat of the cosmos and reunites body and spirit with the ancient pulse of the earth. He has also been guided by the Q’eros, the last guardians of the Andean lineage, receiving the ancestral teachings of Pachamama, the Apus, and the codes of reciprocity and harmony that sustain all life.

Through years of pilgrimage and practice, Julio has learned to prepare and guide sacred plant and earth medicines always walking the path of healing with humility and reverence. For him, each medicine is a teacher, each ceremony a bridge between worlds, inviting those who seek to remember their true nature.

From the mountains of Mexico to the southern lands of Chile and Argentina, Julio has journeyed through jungles, rivers, and sacred sites, gathering the scattered fragments of his being. Along the way, he found the key to healing his lineage and transforming his own pain into purpose. Today, he continues to serve as a guardian of remembrance, carrying a fire that burns not only for his ancestors but for all who walk the path of awakening.
