Why study with them?
My journey started with my own struggles with deep depression and loneliness. I pushed away everyone who tried to help and found myself suffocating in isolation. For a long time, I couldn’t see any reason to live or find any meaning in life. In my early twenties, it became especially hard to let anyone in, even my closest family and dearest friends. I forgot how to look people in the eye and didn’t feel worthy of their attention.
It wasn’t through my own strength that I overcame this darkness. The people around me refused to give up on me and encouraged me to stay connected to the community. By slowly rebuilding my relationships and opening up to those around me, I rediscovered my spirit and my love for life.
This experience inspired me to start Bellevue Counseling. We’re not meant to go through life alone. Relationships—with others and especially with ourselves—are essential for emotional health. At BC, our hope is to give every individual the tools they need to face heartbreak, fear, isolation, and sorrow. If we can help foster healing and supportive communities, then we’ve fulfilled our mission.
