John Minks is a sound therapist with 17 years’ experience offering sound baths at a variety of locations in the Hudson Valley and New York City. His journey began in 2007 studying the didgeridoo in the Amazon, sparking his passion for sound healing. John trained with renowned healers like Mitch Nur, Don Conreaux, Madhava Carrara, and John Beaulieu.
Founder of Deep Space Mallets, John creates custom boutique mallets for gongs, singing bowls, and frame drums, ensuring each piece contributes to the therapeutic sound experience.This unique relationship between maker, musician, and instrument allows him to draw out an extraordinary spectrum of harmonic overtones, subtle textures, and dynamic frequencies rarely heard in conventional sound experiences.
