About the Teacher
Why study with them?
I’m Dr. Kaitlyn Abadia, and for over a decade, I’ve walked alongside individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, and the aftermath of life’s most challenging moments. My journey as a therapist is deeply personal, shaped by my academic training and my experiences as a veteran and mental health professional. Many clients tell me they feel an instant sense of trust because they know I’ve lived parts of their story.
Whether you’re here for yourself or someone you care about, you deserve more than a generic solution. Therapy with me is a collaborative, human process. My role is to meet you exactly where you are and help you uncover real strategies for change—ones you can apply in your everyday life.
My practice is grounded in evidence-based techniques, including EMDR, Brainspotting, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and trauma-informed care. I also offer coaching for those who may not need traditional therapy but want insight or direction in a single session or short-term setting.
