Rikke Precht – Glass Blowing Facilitator & Alchemical Craftsman
About the Teacher
Why study with them?
Rikke Precht, an accomplished glass artist and owner of Glaspusteriet Rikke Precht in Lønstrup, Denmark, brings her mastery of traditional glass blowing to select NorseHeart workshop-retreats. Specializing in the alchemical stage of Distillation, she guides participants in crafting clarity, inspiration, and the pure "quintessence" – the distilled essence of life that unites nature, spirit, and human creativity, much like the Vikings' quest for deeper wisdom embodied by Odin.
In her sessions, the intense heat of the furnace (over 1100°C), the transformative flow of molten glass, and the precise breath that shapes it become a powerful metaphor for refinement: separating the essential from the unformed, turning raw chaos into transparent beauty and lasting insight. Inspired by Alfheim – the luminous realm of the light elves, where art, inspiration, and ethereal light reign – participants blow glass forms that capture transparency, fragility, and radiant energy.
Rikke's intuitive teaching style invites a meditative focus on breath, heat, and intention. As the glass glows and takes shape, old patterns dissolve, mental clarity emerges, and creative inspiration crystallizes – grounding the retreat's inner journey in a tangible, beautiful object. Groups rotate between glass blowing with Rikke and clay work with Vibe Falkenberg, ensuring everyone experiences both crafts.
In the Norse tradition, where craftsmanship is sacred (dwarves forging treasures in Nidavellir, elves spreading light in Alfheim), Rikke helps manifest the quintessence: transforming experience into refined wisdom that serves the world. Your finished glass piece – fired and sent later – becomes a luminous symbol of your distilled essence and the perfect balance achieved.
Through Rikke's calm expertise and passion for ancient techniques, glass blowing becomes a sacred act of creation – a celebration of clarity, beauty, and the hidden power that binds all things.
