About the Teacher
Why study with them?
Born into a culture where over 75% of the population practices Buddhism, I was immersed in spiritual traditions from the very beginning. By the age of three, I found myself naturally entering deep states of meditation, experiencing silent communion with the natural world both within and around me.
At six, I began secretly joining monks at a local Buddhist temple to practice Shamatha meditation, driven by a quiet yearning for peace and stillness. That same year marked the beginning of my lifelong commitment to peace activism and social service.
As a teenager, I was initiated into Transcendental Meditation (TM) by a revered Indian sage in her nineties—an extraordinary woman who, in deep meditation, would sometimes levitate. My upbringing was steeped in Ayurveda and Yoga, enriched by a native language rooted 75% in Sanskrit and 25% in Pali, connecting me deeply to ancient wisdom.
Over the past 25 years, I have been devoted to the practice of Mindful Walking Meditation, as taught by the beloved Vietnamese Zen Master, Thich Nhat Hanh. His gentle yet profound approach to mindfulness continues to guide me in every step.
I carry immense gratitude for the opportunity to share healing practices and spiritual insight with communities across the world, always in service to peace, compassion, and the awakening of collective well-being.
