Amber Chand
About the Teacher
Why study with them?
As an Indian woman born in Uganda who was expelled in her youth from her country as a refugee, Amber speaks on the power of the resilient spirit in our world, one that weaves together the sacred and strategic, the ancient and the visionary, the mystical and the practical – recognizing that it is in this dance of seeming opposites that our creative powers emerge and our visionary new story begins.
She is the author of the acclaimed book, Dear Beloved: Sacred Messages to the World, a book that has been described as a "candle in the dark to help us navigate through uncertain times". Her forthcoming book, Tales of the Boatwoman, a book of ancestral tales, creative memoir and wisdom teachings will be published shortly.
Amber is a TEDX speaker and has offered Dream A New Dream workshops at various places including Kripalu Yoga Center, Omega, the Truth School for Leadership and Justice, Women Represent and Multicultural BRIDGE.
Her international women's retreats have been held in Venice, the cloud forests of Nicaragua, the deserts of Rajasthan, the foothills of the Himalayas and in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.
