About the Teacher
Why study with them?
Héctor Andrés Hurtado Durán was born on December 25, 1980, in the heart of the Atacama Desert, Chile. Trained as an architect and a graduate of the Catholic University of the North, he has combined his professional background with a profound spiritual calling, dedicating the last 13 years of his life to the path of power plants and ancestral medicine.
Since 2010, Héctor has immersed himself in the Brazilian Katukina Noke Koi tradition from the state of Acre, integrating sacred teachings and practices with a respectful and committed approach. Specializing in the ceremonial use of Kambó (frog medicine) and Ayahuasca, he has accompanied hundreds of people through processes of healing, transformation, and expansion of consciousness.
His work has led him to share this path in countries such as the United States, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Peru, and more recently Costa Rica, where during 2023 and 2024 he served as a facilitator and translator at the renowned Soltara Healing Center. Since 2015, his presence at medicine festivals and healing gatherings has strengthened his role as a bridge between cultures, traditions, and people seeking a deeper connection with themselves.
With a focus on medicine with purpose, Héctor integrates experience, sensitivity, and respect for the traditions he represents, offering safe and conscious spaces for working with these ancestral tools.
