Nelson Pereira

About the Teacher

Why study with them?

Nelson Pereira is the co-founder of El Retiro. He began sitting in and serving ancestral plant-medicine ceremonies in 2013 and, together with Alina, has guided intimate retreats in Las Terrenas, Dominican Republic, since 2015 — welcoming guests from 13 countries.

His approach is personal, grounded and attentive. Groups are limited to six people so every participant receives close guidance: a health screening and preparation call before arrival, careful support during each ceremony, and practical integration work afterwards so insights can be brought into daily life.

Nelson does not promise quick fixes. His focus is on creating a safe, respectful container for honest self-observation, clarity and responsible integration.
