Taita Sebastián Jansasoy is a revered spiritual guide and traditional indigenous healer, rooted in the wisdom of the Inga people of Mocoa, Putumayo. His journey began at the tender age of seven, under the tutelage of esteemed masters from the Inga, Siona, and Kofán communities. He spent eight years learning from Taita Jacinto Quinchoa (†) and Taita Francisco Piaguaje (†), followed by seventeen years of profound training with Taita Querubín Queta Alvarado (†), the highest authority of the Cofán people.
Today, Taita Sebastián is a certified traditional indigenous healer recognized by the Inga and Cofán peoples. His healing practices extend far beyond his homeland, reaching Colombia, Latin America, Central America, and the United States.
Beyond his role as a healer, Taita Sebastián is a dedicated advocate for indigenous rights and environmental protection. He serves as an advisor to indigenous communities, working tirelessly to safeguard their traditions and defend the sacred balance of Mother Earth.
