About the Teacher
Why study with them?
Omar was born and raised in the Ecuadorian Amazon as part of the Kichwa community, where he has been immersed in the jungle, its traditions, and its way of life since childhood. He speaks the Kichwa language and carries a deep, lived understanding of his culture, the forest, and the ceremonial use of plant medicines.
He serves as a trusted assistant to the shaman during ayahuasca ceremonies, supporting the process with presence, care, and experience. Throughout the retreat, Omar is also available to guide guests in understanding the surrounding nature, medicinal plants, and local traditions, helping to bridge cultural understanding in a natural and grounded way.
Omar has extensive experience with ayahuasca, traditional handicrafts, and jungle living skills. He brings a calm, positive energy to the space and is known for his humility, kindness, and dedication. With a strong work ethic and a genuine sense of care, he naturally creates a welcoming atmosphere where guests often feel like part of a family.
