Akua is Psychedelic Guide & Healing Advocate with nearly 10 years experience.
She is based in Ghana, West Africa where she specializes in Ayahuasca guidance and complementary healing modalities. She and her team brew Ayahuasca using only Caapi Vine and Chacruna leaves grown in Ghana.
She leads / curate 1to1 and group ceremonies in Ghana.
She is a vocal advocate of psychedelics and have shared insights at Breaking Convention, (Europe largest Psychedelic Science Conference, Oxford University, UCL, and various international platforms. She also serves on Breaking Convention's management board.
Akua's journey began when traditional interventions failed her teenage son after he was groomed into drug dealing in London. Through psychedelics and African spiritual practices, She found healing where conventional approaches couldn't reach. Today, she bridges ancestral wisdom with contemporary healing—creating pathways to transformation for others.
Akua comes from a long line of healers going back at least 500 years. Her grandfather Nana Adjapong was one of the priests who served the Asante Nation during the reign of King Prempeh I before the King was exiled by the British to the Seychells. Nana Adjapong went on to serve during the Yaa Asantewaa war with the British in 1900. Akua is also the niece of Christian healer: the late Maame Defou Rose Fosu, founder of Church of Grace International in Ghana, UK, USA & India.
