About the Teacher
Why study with them?
Justin Colwell is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), visionary healer, and ceremonial guide who bridges the clinical world of trauma-informed psychotherapy with the sacred traditions of plant medicine. With over a decade of experience in behavioral health and holistic healing, Justin’s path has evolved into one of deep spiritual service, supporting individuals in healing, awakening, and returning to wholeness through a combination of modern therapeutic tools and ancestral wisdom.
His journey into plant medicine brought him to the heart of the Peruvian Amazon, where he trained in the Shipibo tradition of ayahuasca healing under the mentorship of renowned maestro Don Enrique Lopez. Through intensive plant dietas—including with the revered Noya Rao, known as the “Tree of Light”—Justin was initiated into the sacred language of plants, traditional curanderismo, and the deep cosmology of indigenous healing. These extended periods in the jungle were not only personal rites of passage but spiritual apprenticeships rooted in humility, prayer, and communion with nature.
Now based in Thailand, Justin brings this wisdom into a new cultural context. With reverence for Thailand’s rich spiritual traditions—including Theravāda Buddhism, animism, and herbal medicine—he weaves together two ancient lineages: the ceremonial technologies of the Shipibo and the meditative, somatic, and herbal healing modalities of Thai culture. At Anodda Healing Sanctuary, he serves as the lead facilitator and co-creator of a ceremonial space that honors both Amazonian and Thai spiritual heritages.
This synthesis is rooted in respect, not appropriation—guided by living reciprocity and a commitment to preserving the integrity of each lineage. Justin facilitates sacred ceremonies, leads integration circles, and guides guests through personalized healing journeys grounded in authenticity, clinical safety, and soul-level transformation.
As both a therapist and a ceremonialist, Justin holds space with compassion and precision, from preparation and ceremony to integration and long-term support. His mission is simple yet profound: to create a space where guests feel safe enough to let go, open their hearts, and remember who they truly are.
