Melanie Elkin

About the Teacher

Why study with them?

With over 13 years of experience leading transformational work for women and hosting more than 50 retreats, Melanie is a devoted guide for those ready to reconnect with their authentic essence. Her approach is rooted in the belief that true transformation comes not from adding more, but from shedding the layers that no longer serve, allowing the light within to shine freely.

Melanie walks beside each woman she serves, helping her uncover her deepest “why,” her longing, her vision, and her unique inner medicine. Through movement, light, and purposeful presence, she creates sacred space for women to awaken, reclaim, and rebirth themselves in full alignment with who they truly are.

Her work is steeped in unconditional love and radical acceptance. Melanie offers a steady hand and open heart, guiding women to feel safe enough to be raw, real, and radically themselves. This is where healing happens, where truth is not only welcomed, but celebrated.

Melanie holds a degree in Sociology and Exercise Health Science from UCSB and is a certified 500-hour yoga teacher with advanced training in Bhakti Yoga, Kirtan, and sound healing.

She brings deep somatic wisdom to her work, with over a decade of mentorship in Sacred Depths Coaching and 7 years of training with the Hendricks Institute in somatic and emotional health. Her guidance is informed by earth-based wisdom, authentic movement therapy, and her current immersion in Mayan mentorship and the sacred "Red Road" path, a spiritual way of life rooted in indigenous tradition.

Melanie’s retreats are more than a getaway. They are a sacred invitation to return home to yourself. Come as you are. Leave as more of who you truly are.
