Dewachen is a meditation sanctuary in the Costa Rican cloud forest dedicated to awakening the altruistic mind and cultivating inner happiness. Through meditation retreats, alternative healing, ecological regeneration, and Dharma community, we offer a path of compassionate action for individuals to contribute to a peaceful world.
These practices are rooted in Tibetan Buddhist lineage, yet open to people of all traditions and spiritual backgrounds. In reverence of our Costa Rican home, we emphasize serving Spanish-speaking and Latin American communities.

Directions
Fly into Aeropuerto Internacional Juan Santamaría (SJO). The retreat is held at Dewachen World Peace Sanctuary, in San Pedro de Perez Zeledon which is about 4.5 hours from the airport by car. You can arrive by bus, taxi, or rental.
