Casa Werma

Casa Werma is a beautiful, peaceful oasis just a few blocks from the heart of the Spanish colonial, small city of Patzcuaro - you get a perfect combination of a quiet garden home with an authentically Mexican, cosmopolitan life. The staff is friendly and responsive. We love the fountain with the turtles and koi, the patio with a breakfast cafe several days a week (delicious banana latte), and the expansive greenery and flowers. Yet in just a short walk we could enjoy Patzcuaro's bustling marketplace or Plaza Grande lined with cafes and restaurants. Highly recommended.

I had the opportunity to attend the Meditation in action-the path ofthe buda- retreat and it was great, Marty Janowitz is an amazing teacher and the spanish translation was really good. The accommodations are fantastic and the staff was really helpful and kind. The garden is beautiful, walking there is inspiring. It made me happy :)

I will return when I can. Casa Wema is and excelent place for taking a retreat. Richard John is and excelent Ashaya. All the personal is frendly, the gardens are beautifull, the food is excelent and healthy. I recomend it a lot.

Casa Werma is such a lovely retreat space—it is truly one of the lungs of Patzcuaro with its marvelous gardens. The staff are kind and hospitable as well!

I have rented the casita at Casa Werma twice now and both times have felt tranquility being surrounded by nature in the beautiful garden. My time there refreshed my soul.
