Ayahuasca Costa Rica

I write this 3 months after completing the retreat... Nestled in the serene mountain landscape, under the stars, this ayahuasca retreat provided an ideal environment for a profound and life-changing experience.

The setting fostered a sense of connection and safety, allowing me to fully immerse in the journey of self-discovery. As a solo traveler, attending my first ceremony, this was a unique experience and Erick was the perfect person to guide me. From the moment of arrival, Erick (the shaman with no feathers), exuded a calm and intellectual presence that put the situation at ease. He immediately laid out that this was MY journey, and he was only there to protect and guide me in a safe environment. And followed through on every promise.

When you first arrive, it feels like stumbling upon an Airbnb you booked online, and a natural sense of 'am I in the right place?' when you quickly come to realize that you are 'home' and surrounded by local culture & family who are all watching out for your well-being. The addition of Odin, Erick's trusted canine companion, brought an extra layer of warmth and reassurance to the stay.

The retreat provided fulfilling meals and fruit, which was a relief after worrying and researching about the dieta prior to attending - meals are sourced from local neighbors and gardens each day, and were above expectations.

The ceremony itself was nothing short of amazing, providing a powerful experience, healing, and a deeper spiritual connection. We reflected on intentions before and after, and the safe environment allowed for a truly transformative ceremony, while also being educating on the effects of plant medicine.

The experience extended beyond the ayahuasca ceremony itself. Erick coordinated Uber/Transportation for a refreshing waterfall hike on the off day, and also ensured safe transportation back to San Jose. There were some questions about payments initially (coming from US), but after meeting Erick it's more of an 'app' issue in CR than a payment issue and was very flexible in working with me to find a solution without stress (Crypto was fastest/easiest!) The immediate trust with Erick, in person, and his kind soul made it much easier to digest in person than over WhatsApp, as well as reviews such as this one.

In the 3 months since my journey, I have maintained sobriety. A testament to the powerful healing opportunity Erick offers. We discussed how to integrate the learnings back into my own reality, and shared different readings, books, life experiences, and podcasts we found relatable. Erick has a great sense of humor, but his main focus is your journey, your 'why', and your intentions, and is there to help you navigate as everyone's journey is different.

For those seeking a deeply meaningful and potentially life-changing experience, this ayahuasca retreat comes highly recommended. The combination of expert guidance, a safe and intimate setting, and the powerful effects of the medicine itself create an opportunity for profound personal growth and healing. Thank you Erick! Arriving at the house you think: this is not the right place...but entering closer, you will realize the absolute beauty of this area !! Erick is a very nice person, very sensitive, professional, good organized. His team helped to let you feel just great, the dog Odin is a charming one. Spectacular view, my sleeping was 10' away, in a wonderfull place in the jungle, where monkeys pass in front of you. The ceremony was mindblowing, never had a such a trip. The whole group of persons were really nice, we had a lot of good chats. I can only strongly reccomend this experience and place. JUST GO 4 IT !!! I thought long and hard for years before deciding to participate in an Ayahuasca ceremony. I’m eternally grateful for finally arriving at Ayahuasca Costa Rica as my choice.

Erick and his team welcomed me to their retreat and guided me through my journey with a seemingly unconditional understanding, patience and love.

In two ceremonies I experienced the healing and transformation worth a whole lifetime and beyond.. and still this only describes a fraction of a journey which language or thought could ever recount.

Erik is a fantastic guide and provides safe, comfortable lodging. Our group only had 4 people which was great and he tends to keep it small which I think is majorly beneficial to the experience (especially if it's a first time). I was really happy I took his preparation counsel seriously and came with an intent. It helped me out a lot and Erik's knowledge and guidance were key to the experience, I highly and confidently recommend Erik and his team!

I had read so many positive reviews before joining this retreat, and this still exceeded my expectations. Erick and his team are so friendly and accommodating, the environment is peaceful and clean, and the food is delicious! I hope to visit again soon.
