Mission & Vision
The New Kadampa Tradition - International Kadampa Buddhist Union (NKT - IKBU) is an international association of centers for the study and meditation of Mahayana Buddhism founded by the Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso in 1991. Its aim is to offer practical wisdom of Kadampa Buddhism to the people of the modern world.
The NKT - IKBU follows the pure tradition of Mahayana Buddhism transmitted in an unbroken lineage from Shakyamuni Buddha through the Kadampa masters of old Atisha and Yhe Tsongkhapa and introduced to the West by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. The aim of the NKT - IKBU is to spread the Buddhist faith throughout the world. It is a totally independent Buddhist tradition without any political affiliation.

How do I get there? Map Options: We pick you up at the airport for an affordable price of 20 euros one way (subject to availability). Bus: 1st bus Airport - Mahón, 2nd bus: Mahón - Alayor and we will arrange an economic transport (contact us before) or you can take a cab, from the airport or the nearest town (this option is cheaper than from the airport).
