Directions
The nearest airport is Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) in Denpasar, Bali, which serves international and domestic flights. From Denpasar Airport, the drive to Ubud takes about 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on traffic. The easiest and most comfortable way to reach Ubud is by private transfer or taxi. You can pre-book a driver through your retreat center or use ride-hailing apps like Grab or Gojek, which are widely available.
Official Blue Bird taxis can also be taken directly from the airport’s taxi counter. The fare usually ranges between 350,000 and 450,000 IDR, depending on the time of day. There are no trains or direct public buses to Ubud, but shared shuttles operate daily from the airport and main tourist areas.
