Course Overview
Our 200 Hour Yoga TTC is a complete introduction to the yogic way of life. You’ll explore various aspects of yoga through theory, practice, and self-reflection. The course combines classical teachings with practical modern approaches to help you live and share yoga authentically.
Here’s what you’ll study:
1. Yoga Philosophy (Darshana)
Understand yoga beyond the mat. You’ll learn about the origins of yoga, the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, the eight limbs of yoga (Ashtanga Yoga), and yogic ethics. This knowledge builds the spiritual foundation you need to walk the path of yoga with awareness and discipline.
2. Meditation (Dhyana)
Meditation is a powerful practice that helps calm the mind and awaken inner peace. You’ll learn various meditation techniques that enhance focus, emotional balance, and spiritual connection, guiding you closer to self-realization (Samadhi).
3. Pranayama (Yogic Breathing Techniques)
Breath is life. In this part of the course, you’ll explore traditional pranayama techniques like Anulom Vilom, Bhastrika, and Kapalabhati, along with mudras and bandhas that activate energy flow. These practices detoxify the body, improve lung capacity, and harmonize mind and body.
4. Mantra Chanting
Mantra chanting purifies the mind and uplifts the spirit. Each class begins or ends with sacred mantras — invoking peace, clarity, and positive vibrations that help you connect with your inner self and the divine energy around you.
5. Hatha & Vinyasa Yoga
Learn the classical foundation of Hatha Yoga and experience the dynamic flow of Vinyasa Yoga. You’ll practice key asanas (postures) with focus on alignment, breathing, and awareness. The goal is not perfection but balance, mindfulness, and inner strength.
6. Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga
Study the Ashtanga Primary Series, a powerful sequence that synchronizes movement and breath. This practice builds stamina, flexibility, and internal purification, helping you experience yoga as meditation in motion.
7. Yin & Restorative Yoga
Balance your active practice with slower, healing styles:
Yin Yoga targets deep tissues, joints, and energy channels, improving flexibility and circulation.
Restorative Yoga uses props like bolsters and blankets to release tension, reduce stress, and rejuvenate your entire being.
8. Sukshma Vyayama (Subtle Energy Exercises)
These gentle yet effective exercises activate pranic energy and improve body awareness. Simple to perform but deeply relaxing, Sukshma Vyayama enhances the energy flow through subtle movements and mindful breathing.
9. Laughter Yoga
Laughter is therapy for the soul. Through guided group laughter sessions, you’ll experience joy, release emotional tension, and boost your overall well-being. It’s one of the happiest parts of the course!
10. Anatomy & Physiology (Sharir Vijnan)
Understanding the human body is essential for safe yoga practice. You’ll learn how yoga affects muscles, bones, joints, organs, and the nervous system. Lessons also include study of the chakras, nadis, and energy systems to integrate both physical and spiritual anatomy.
11. Teaching Methodology
The final stage of your training prepares you to become a confident yoga teacher. You’ll learn how to create class sequences, guide students safely, adjust postures, and develop your personal teaching style. Practice teaching sessions will help you build confidence, clarity, and presence in front of others.
