Details of this retreat

On August 12, 2026, the first total solar eclipse in over a century will pass directly over these mountains. This 6-day retreat is a rare invitation to witness this celestial alignment from a private, off-grid sanctuary, far from the crowds and digital noise. Also, an intimate overnight experience in the mountains of Quirós. On the day of the eclipse, we’ll hike into the mountains, spend the night on the summit, and descend the following morning. We’ll be guided through breathwork and meditation, creating space to slow down, breathe deeply, reconnect with ourselves, and experience the eclipse from the stillness of the mountain (the supported path).

The summit has always been a place of threshold. Across cultures, mountains have been revered as places where the human and the infinite feel a little closer. Their peaks have long invited pilgrimage, contemplation, and transformation, places where perspective widens and the noise of everyday life falls away.

To witness an eclipse from a summit is to experience two great rhythms at once: the enduring stillness of the mountain and the celestial dance overhead. The mountain embodies stability. The eclipse reminds us to embrace change. Together, they offer a rare invitation to pause, reflect, and welcome transformation.

Schedule

The Daily Flow: A Custom Path
There is no fixed program here. Your time is a living experiment in listening to your own rhythm. The structure of each day is personal, shifting based on the retreat you’ve chosen and the depth of support you seek. We move along a spectrum of two primary containers:
The Supported Path
This is an active collaboration for those seeking deeper guidance. Depending on your needs, our day may include:
* Intuitive Presence: Shared silence or check-ins to navigate what is arising.
* Mountain Connection: Guided walks, excursions, or adventures through the local landscape.
* Earth Medicine: Time in the apothecary learning to make natural medicines.
* Ritual: Ceremonies or sessions designed for deep release and reset.
The Self-Guided Path
For those in need of total solitude, I hold the energetic space of the house while granting you full autonomy.
* Total Freedom: The day is yours to inhabit the library, the trails, or the gardens at your own pace.
* Zero Pressure: There is no set routine or expectation to engage.
* Safe Solitude: I am present and available if need be, but the space is primarily yours to explore your own internal rhythm.

The house is surrounded by a wild landscape of mountains, forests, medicinal plants, and streams. There are 6–8 trails accessible directly from the doorstep that lead up and around the mountain, offering various lengths and difficulty levels. Asturias is "Green Spain"—a territory of water, stone, and myth where the veil between worlds feels thin. Unlike the arid plains of the south, this region is steeped in Celtic and Druidic heritage.
