I ve been doing Ayahuasca on and off for 10 years and had some amazing breakthroughs and journeys. I was on the way to Columbia to do a retreat in the rainforest and I had a calling to do San Pedro before. After finding Taita on Retreat Guru I just knew I had to go. After a fabulous chat with Marijn who answered all my questions and his beautiful energy I was left in no doubt. "I chose to go to the retreat because I was feeling very stuck in life; I had been in a job for two and a half years which I was desperate to leave but felt I couldn't, and I was studying a module at university which I didn't like. I'd done a great deal of spiritual work over the course of 12 years and felt like things had stopped moving forward. My boyfriend and I knew about Colin and Ariana through another spiritual teacher so we decided to give it a go. My two ceremonies were very different. The first night was relatively easy and I laughed for hours. This was very healing by itself, but I also healed many other things including deep grief that I hadn't been aware of. "The Ayahuasca experience had been calling to me for quite a considerable time, but it was only after dealing with the fallout of a a breakup from a particularly toxic relationship right before Christmas, that I made the spontaneous decision to attend Avalon 29. I arrived at Avalon broken, damaged, full of despair, insecurity and self loathing. Within five days of ceremony, interaction, gentle instruction, massage, one on one discussion, meditation and truly delicious nourishment via the meticulously prepared gourmet diet provided by the retreat, I left Avalon full of joy, , centred, with an almost overwhelming feeling of love -self love especially- clarity of mind, clarity of purpose. I was finally at peace, having made profound social connections as deep if not deeper than any I’d previously made in my entire life prior to going there. The transition in me had begun as quickly as the second day following my first Ayahuasca ceremony, which was held on the evening of my arrival and the immediate change was so obvious and pronounced my fellow participants couldn’t help but comment on it. In fact by the end of the retreat it was expressed to me by some that they regarded my transition in such a short space of time as little short of miraculous and inspirational. This is VERY powerful medicine, not just within the Ayahuasca itself, but also within the music, designed to elevate us into states of consciousness necessary to begin the healing process and purge what hinders us, cripples us or simply no longer serves us; whilst at the same time drawing in profound experiences and insights that help us heal, grow and be the best version of ourselves that we can possibly be. Make no mistake however, retreats like Avalon are only the beginning of the healing journey. Avalon is a doorway that can lead to a richer, more rewarding and satisfying sense of being. If one is prepared to open up, trust in the healing process, surrender to the experience, and embrace the strange with an open heart and without fear, the rewards to oneself can be immeasureable . At Avalon I found being open wasn’t difficult to do, surrounded such as I was by a powerful circles of mutually supportive, fellow participants, and a group of compassionate, responsible, experienced guides that gently led us through the process. During the entire experience I was never in any doubt that I’d placed myself in very good hands. By the time the retreat was over I felt humbled and deeply grateful for the experience, which I count as one of the greatest experiences that I’ve had in all my 64 years of life. This is, without a shadow of a doubt, the greatest gift I’ve given myself. Now as I step back into my life, the challenge is to bring all those insights, lessons and all of the self reflection to bare as i continue my healing away from the tranquil sanctuary that I’ve known for the last five days. My heart yearns for the seclusion and peace that I found there, the perpetual ceremonial fire that blazed throughout, beneath one of the most breathtakingly beautiful night skies I’ve ever seen. As I write this I have every intention of returning to Avalon so that I might find the door that leads to the next stage of my spiritual and emotional healing. "Can you imagine having to create the universe just to come and die in El Gastor? Several variations of this "mantra" ran through my head during the first part of my experience. While I was still resisting the idea of dying, this thought brought a smile to my face and helped me relax. The universe and all its contents were already doing and undoing themselves, and I was getting thoroughly lost. The only guiding thread was the music—vibration at its core, but vibration arranged in a way to be pleasurable for a perceiving consciousness. Every now and then, my dry lips would sting against each other, briefly reminding me of my body and everything else. The mantra would repeat, bringing a relaxed smile, along with questions about why this doing and undoing of the universe was necessary. Why bother? Thanks to the music, it was easy to understand this as a process similar to that of a musician transforming vibration into something beautiful. It was a satisfactory explanation for that momentary lapse of reason, and then I was gone again. But why dying anyway? The idea of dying is terrifying, especially in our individualistic society where we invest so much energy in developing our sense of self. For me, this manifested some years ago as crippling hypochondria. Mind you, at the time of my experience with Elena, this was no longer the case. Significant personal work had already occurred, but the topic of death remained deeply important to me. That's why it was so significant when Elena suggested I go on a hike the day before the experience. I ended up on the summit of a small mountain, with vultures circling overhead. They were searching for something to eat, and I was unaware that some part of me was ready to feed them. Before the experience, it wasn't just this suggested hike that held meaning, but how intently Elena listened to me (no easy task, as I can babble endlessly). I know she truly listened because she provided so many reading recommendations that proved invaluable both in the integration work and my broader personal journey. Elena is one of the most well-read individuals you'll meet, and she delights in sharing her knowledge. I'm deeply grateful for this experience, through which I achieved what I was seeking. My intentions were simple: silence in my head and a connection to others that transcends words. When we sat together at noon, before drinking the potion, I knew this would be different from my many other psychedelic experiences—there wasn't the faintest trace of anxiety within me because I trusted Elena completely. This degree of trust helped me easily surrender what little remained of myself in the first part of the experience. A quick trip to the bathroom did the trick—a functional journey to avoid wetting the bed. Afterward, it felt like a small eternity to replace my headphones and blindfold, as closing my eyes was enough to make me disappear. Eventually, I managed to put them back on and peacefully parted ways with my ego. The last bit of consciousness working to control my bladder could finally relax, and with it went my final anchor to bodily sensation. I won't delve too deeply into reporting what I experienced then, as I feel it would be futile. If you've been there, you know that words are inadequate tools to describe it. Coming out of it was easy and organic. Eventually, I asked if we could go for a walk, and we were fortunate enough to see an almost full moon shining over the Sierra. But in that moment, I could have found beauty in literally everything. I cannot express enough gratitude for Elena and everything she shared with me. Her approach to this work is exemplary—she was remarkably clear about boundaries and provided detailed guidance on managing the experience. Her explicit communication style created a container of trust that allowed this transformative experience to unfold naturally. The integration work continues to reveal new layers of insight, and I find myself experiencing a remarkable surge of vitality. There's an unmistakable shift in my energy that's so apparent, it's even caught my wife by surprise. She often looks at me with amazement, joking that if these are the results, she'll happily send me back for monthly sessions. Her observation makes me smile, as it confirms what I feel internally—a profound renewal that extends beyond the immediate experience into my daily life."

"I cannot compliment Danilo, Ilse and Bruno at Gaia For You for the most transformative experience of my life. Ilse booked me a taxi in advance as agreed. On arrive I was greeted by the taxi driver who pick me up from the airport, which went pretty much as planned. We travelled in a comfy vehicle to a Mijas on the outskirts of Malaga (about 1/2h travel time). It's secluded and has a great view of the countryside to facilitate one's spiritual forays. There is a large farm and grounds to wonder around. A lot of the food came from the farm itself such as avocados, oranges, papaya and more. For the actual activities, please refer to their website. My understanding of shamanic spirituality is basic at best. I attend the 5 day Christmas retreat. Our group consisted on four. On the first day we undertook a cleansing purge which meant a number of visits to the toilet. Danilo, Ilse and Bruno managed the Ayahuasca ceremonies, there were four of us on this retreat. I felt safe and reassured that I was being cared for. The San Pedro experience was amazing and enhanced the Ayahuasca Ceremony in the evening. As a group we opted to understand the Bufa ceremony with was an amazing out of body experience. I have recommended this retreat to a few friends who will book. It felt nice being in a family environment. The food was amazing – all credit to Illse. I have left this retreat with direction, purpose and more spiritual outlook on life. "

"What a wonderful experience! I and 5 other people I’ve never met attended the retreat at the start of December. I was made to feel truly welcome and cared for from the start by Danilo and Ilse, at a challenging and questioning time in my life. All of the attendees bonded from the start; everyone was happy to open and share putting us all at ease. This was made so easy by the beautiful setting and the warm and supportive nature of our hosts. I felt a bit broken going in to the retreat, but was reassured that everyone there, although we all had different issues to explore and deal with, were ultimately there for the same very human reasons. It created an amazing feeling of genuine connection. Having Bruno join us was an added bonus. Like Danilo and Isle, he was a very warm, kind and caring human being and made us all feel so calm and cared for. Most importantly, he helped us understand the answers lay within us and for the ultimate need to love ourselves. The whole setting, experience, beautiful music, nourishing food, mutual openness and sharing made it a truly transformative experience. The key now is putting in to practice what we learned in real life and each day. We probably all go here attracted by the ‘magic’ of Ayahuasca, Bufo and the other medicines. Whilst the medicines are helpful, the real magic is in the connection, bonding and nuturing environment on a very human level that Danilo, Isla, Porchie and Gaia have created. "I recently had the pleasure of attending this retreat, and I can confidently say it was one of the most significant experiences I've ever encountered. From start to finish, every aspect of this retreat radiated excellence, love and acceptance. Upon arrival, I was greeted by warm smiles and porchi the most fantastic dog ever which instantly made me feel at home. Ilse and Danillo have clearly put their hearts into creating a space where everyone feels safe and supported. The attention to detail in both the setting and programming is extraordinary—each moment seemed thoughtfully curated to foster connection with oneself, and with eachother. One aspect that truly stood out was the sense of community cultivated throughout our time together. Everyone came with open hearts, ready to share their stories and support one another on this journey of self-discovery. It felt like a family. Additionally, the meals provided during the retreat were not only delicious but also prepared with love using fresh ingredients. Each meal was an experience in itself; i can easily see myself going vegan just by eating Ilses cooking. As we concluded our time together, I left feeling rejuvenated and inspired—filled with gratitude for all that I learned about myself as well as my relationship with others around me. "Just finished a private one on one session over the weekend- last friday afternoon. Psylicybin Hero dose, combined with Olivers wonderfull sound therapy. All I can really say is that the whole experience was amazing. The location in the beautifull country house in the nature, Olivers compassion and patience, the set and setting was perfect. "I had an amazing stay with Danilo and Ilse. The setup of this retreat is great, but also leaving room for a very personal touch. It is great how they take the people into their home and make them a part of their family for the week. Porchi is the best therapeutic dog I have ever encountered and I am missing his hugs and kisses. 🐶 The way Danilo and Ilse are able to have such an effect on people within four days by using different plant medicine is so special and all thanks to the great love they share with each other and the group.
