Retreat Highlights

  • Experience psychology-based work on loneliness, boredom, and emotional regulation in an intimate setting of just 8 guests. Led by an advanced integrative psychotherapist trainee and meditation coach, this retreat combines neuroscience, somatic practices, and experiential exercises designed to help you sit with what you've been avoiding.
  • Unlike conventional wellness retreats, this work doesn't promise transformation or healing. It teaches you the capacity to be alone with yourself, regulate emotions through presence rather than avoidance, and recognize productivity culture's grip on your nervous system.
  • Through four therapeutic sessions, daily yoga and breathwork, and one individual therapy session, you'll explore the science of boredom (why your best ideas come when you stop trying), practice sitting with difficult emotions without bypassing them, and discover that being alone isn't loneliness — it's coming home to yourself.
  • Key highlights:
  • Maximum 8 guests for intimate, held therapeutic work
  • 4 in-depth group sessions integrating psychotherapy, neuroscience, and somatic practice
  • 1 individual 30-minute therapy session per guest
  • Daily yoga, meditation, and breathwork for nervous system regulation
  • Experiential exercises revealing how productivity culture and loneliness operate
  • All meals freshly prepared on-site with locally sourced ingredients
  • Grade II listed Somerset countryside estate with private grounds

About this Retreat

Your Guides

Details of this retreat

Learn the art of being alone and reconnect with yourself. This three-night psychology-based retreat integrates science and ancient wisdom to help you develop genuine emotional regulation, unlock dormant creativity, and discover that stillness and boredom are not emptiness — they're pathways to clarity, insight, and self-connection.

Through experiential exercises designed to be challenging yet safe, you'll practice emotional regulation in real time, not just learn about it. You'll explore the neuroscience of boredom and the default mode network (why your best ideas come when you stop trying), alongside somatic practices and meditation techniques rooted in traditional wisdom. The work helps you regulate your nervous system, develop the capacity to sit with difficult emotions, improve your ability to truly listen, and recognise productivity culture's grip on your wellbeing.

Led by an advanced integrative psychotherapist trainee, meditation coach, and yogi, this retreat bridges scientific rigour with contemplative practice. With daily yoga and breath-work, four therapeutic sessions, and one individual therapy session, you'll leave with practical tools for emotional regulation, deeper self-awareness, and the recognition that being alone isn't loneliness, it's coming home to yourself.
In an intimate group of 8, surrounded by Somerset countryside, you'll discover genuine rest, reconnect with your creativity, and learn that self-connection is the foundation for everything else.
