About this Retreat
Phyllis Strock is a practitioner of sound healing. Using Tibetan bowls and crystal bowls, Chant and sound, she leads people to inner peace and discovery. Her perspective is informed by her experience in counseling, spirituality and writing. She has worked with diverse populations, both individually and in groups, including cancer survivors, impoverished children, teens and individuals at the end of life.
Audrey Garrett is an artist who practices meditation. She seeks to explore and encourage our connections to nature and to each other through sound meditation, movement, and visual art.
Details of this retreat
A workshop to open the heart
Experience the transcendent
Open to oneness
Our time together will include listening and experiencing the sounds of the singing bowls, hands on experience, and sharing and connecting with each other and the spirit. The bowls are ancient instruments that produce vibrations that are healing and peaceful. They are believed to stimulate energy centers, reduce stress, and relieve pain. It is through sound that we can interact with the mystical and ask the sound to carry our wounds when we simply cannot.
This program will take place outside, weather permitting. If there is inclement weather it will take place indoors in the Conference Center.
